The end of the world smelled of sulfur and crushed violets. Princess Saoirse, the last true blood of the Dragon Kings, stood before the cracked vanity mirror in the servant’s quarters. Her hands trembled violently as she destroyed her birthright. The paste—a foul mixture of river mud, crushed walnut shells, and soot—felt cold and slimy against her scalp. Outside, the sky was bleeding. The Dragon Kingdom of Aethelgard, a realm of glass spires and singing winds, was dying. It wasn't dying quietly. It was screaming under the iron treads of the Empire’s war machines.

He was a human and she was a Lycan. “So the ice dragons live where it snows all year round?” She’s spoken about many types of dragons but this was the one I found the most interesting. “Yeah, they are ice dragons. They only feel alive when it is cold. They can’t survive for long where there is sun,” All full-fledged lycans and wolves do not get cold easily but when it snows, we have to protect ourselves with thick clothes. I could not imagine having to live where it snows all year round. They were ice dragons anyway so it was a given.

Here I'm being saved, yet again, by a Drakon. The giant dragon lands near the Palace's front gates with a heavy thump. Seconds later, a lavender and blue-toned Phoenix also lands nearby. Lowering itself, the dragon opens its left wing, creating a ramp for me to dismount. I slide down, stumbling as my feet hit the puffy snow. My legs shake uncontrollably, my mouth opens and closes like a fish out of water trying to consume as much Oxygen as possible while riding the adrenaline rush as I observe the intimidating being before me. She slumped with the impact. She was losing consciousness as the gun was being pulled out of her hands. Someone snorted. “We hit the jackpot. The bitch is here in a sexy avatar. It was as though I was inside an iceberg. I struggled to move as the dragon moved closer to me with a dark sinister smirk on its face. Only a single punch would be able to break me and piece me like ice. I swallowed hard and closed my eyes, waiting for my doom. At that moment, there was nothing I could do. Unexpectedly, the dragon screamed out in pain and staggered backward as something strange happened. What is that?

She squatted in front of the water and di-p her hand in it,,the water was so cold. She suddenly smiled when an idea stucked into her head,,she controlled the water with her mind and it turned to ice immediately,she grinned wi-dely but the smile was short lived when suddenly the ice broke and melted, ‘What’s going on?’ She thought and t©uçhed the water,it was almost boiling,,so h0t. She looked up and turned to Kingston but he didn’t move,,she turned back to the water and tried freezing it again but each time it happens,the water melt right away. She stood up feeling frustrated and walked to Kingston angrily

She let out a laugh. “Ice dragons were a stunning race. Unfortunately, they were already nearing extinct before the war. They were more of the aggressive type of races in the dragon world. But they were also the first to get attacked and slaughtered. He only survived because he was in the kingdom when the war started.” She explained. I looked up at her, not sure what to say. She gave me a sad smile.

All the creature's enormous nest was full of snow and ice, even if immediately behind it, where Elizabeth sat, it warm and nice, and the snow was completely missing. The creature herself was made of ice. The scales that covered her body were of ice, her eyes were dark blue, and at the end of her tail she had a multitude of spines ... probably all made of ice. A kind of thicker and definitely very strong icicles. Her breath let out of her nostrils snowflakes and ice as well as a blustery wind whirling the snow chaotically. The little girl managed to read on a flying tag that the creature was an ice dragon.
