The Inheritance Game Novels & Stories

A silly little game, that is all it was supposed to be but it turned to so much more. It was four years ago and I was fourteen. It was my brother's going away party. At sixteen male werewolves go to academy to serve in the military and prepare for their adult roles in the pack. My brother Bo and his best friend Drake were leaving the next day. The adults had already called it a night and the teenagers had somehow ended up in the basement playing truth or dare, typical dumb kid stuff. When it came to Drake's turn, he was challenged to draw a name from a cup and go play seven minutes in heaven with them. He drew my name. I had always had a crush on Drake and this was my chance. He was gorgeous

Darius didn’t want to break the kiss neither did she but their lack of air made their wants unfulfilled as they broke apart with smiles on their faces. “I guess I’ve grown to like you too.” She brought one of her brows up, tilting her head slightly. “You guess?” He laughed and kissed her once more. - “Thank you all for coming tonight. As you know whoever the Tyler family chooses must be able to have kids, we need heirs who will be able to continue our great legacy. So after dinner, the women will have a sample of their blood taken to be tested for fertility and the men will each get cups where they will place their sperm to test their fertility. I expect to have your cups tomorrow at 10. Now

she asked further. “Because I want the treasures, I'm your husband-to-be and I should be the one controlling our money and not you” he said, sweating profusely. Alessia's brows scrunched up on their own in disappointment. “I can see you're just being jealous. The safe box's contents are my father's family's treasure, something that is passed to every first born, I can't break the rule of giving it to an outsider” She spewed out without thinking twice.

“That’s right. My late grandfather’s will has some...conditions to his inheritance that I must access. His lawyer who my grandfather trusted serves as a witness if I eventually do get married. If I don’t get married within the year, I will lose my inheritance completely.” “Wow,” I said, my tone dripping with sarcasm. “A romantic at heart, I see.” Declan grinned. “It’s less about romance and more about survival. The inheritance isn’t just money, it’s a legacy. Businesses, properties, people’s livelihoods. If I don’t step up, my half-brother will. And trust me, that’s a disaster waiting to happen.” I frowned, tilting my head. “So, why not find someone who actually wants to marry you?”

What game was he playing, proposing something so absurd? “Because I can help you get your inheritance.” His words stopped her cold. Autumn’s eyes widened as she tried to mask her shock. How did he know about her inheritance? “W-What are you talking about?” she shot back, louder than intended, hoping someone outside might hear. “You’re definitely drunk, you arrogant ass!” “You have an inheritance,” Elliot persisted, undeterred. “Your grandmother willed it to you, didn’t she?” Autumn’s gaze turned steely as she tried to recover, though curiosity flared beneath her mask of anger. “And what if I do?” she said mockingly. “Are you hoping to get your hands on it?”

1122MrGame: "First off, let's clear something up. If the inheritance battle were real, and if Ms. Lawson had actually hired someone to kill Helen and Mr. Lawson, could Mr. Lawson Senior, the head of the corporation, really tolerate that? "Folks… Think about who Mr. Lawson Senior is! Reflect on his past achievements when he was younger, and you'll realize he's a person who doesn't hesitate when it comes to tough decisions!"

She didn't know most of the people there, and the stares she received made her feel like an outsider. As she stood at the altar, Scarlett's heart pounded in her chest. She could hardly believe that she was about to become the wife of the Ruthless Damian, one of the most powerful men in the city. She had always been drawn to his ambition and power, but she had never imagined that she would one day be standing here, ready to pledge her life to him.

Her fingers trembled as she lifted it. A slim flash drive. An old one. Military-grade encryption stamped into the metal. And a folded piece of paper, yellowed with age. Handwriting she recognized instantly. Her mother’s. Elara— If you’re reading this, I failed to keep you out of it. I’m sorry. The vault isn’t money. It’s leverage. Names tied to deaths. Wars funded for profit. Men who don’t exist but decide who lives quietly. Locke was never in control. He was a mouthpiece who learned to bite.

"Oh God. It's real." "Forty three years ago, your father and mother were part of a government program. Project Inheritance. Creating enhanced humans. Your father was the test subject. Given abilities. Precognition. Enhanced reflexes. It worked. Then they tried to replicate it through offspring." Marcus smiled. Cold. Empty. "I was the first. But I didn't get the abilities. I was a failure. So they abandoned me. Tried again. Got Sarah. She was close but not quite right. James? Also not perfect. Then you, Nickey. The golden child. The one who inherited everything."

“How many months ago did I tell you your fiancé wasn’t being sincere with and look what happened. Do you think your cousin could have been acting alone?” Jocelyn shook her head and covered her ears. “If you’re going to trash talk my family, you’d better go right now. I’m not interested.” I removed her hands from her ear. “They’re not your family. Not one person among them have your best interest at heart. The moment your inheritance became yours, it became a game of who can fool innocent Jocelyn the longest without her knowing and eventually taking control of your inheritance. Even immediate family cannot be trusted, it’s ridiculous that you’re giving this amount of trust to relatives.”
