“This trail leads to the lake,” Ashwin said, glancing at Ishaan, who was walking just slightly behind him. “It’s not a popular swimming spot, but it’s beautiful.”
Ishaan hummed in acknowledgment, his gaze unreadable. “A lake, huh?”
“Yeah.” Ashwin glanced back at him. “Why? You don’t like water?”
Ishaan smirked. “I like it just fine.”
The trees thinned, revealing the glistening lake nestled between rolling hills. The water shimmered under the afternoon sun, its surface rippling gently with the wind. Ashwin sighed, enjoying the peacefulness of it.
