The Last Gift

The Last Gift

I was at the end, and I couldn't control my body anymore. I motioned for her to look at my bag. She pulled out the contract, and she broke down again after reading it. "Viola, you can't die! I won't allow it! You can't die!" She collapsed next to me, sobbing uncontrollably. I glanced at the clock on the wall. Only two hours left before I would leave this world. Suddenly, my phone buzzed. Selena picked it up and showed me the screen. [Viola, after all these years of fighting with me, you finally lost! Your parents, your mate, and your son—they're all mine now! You've finally faced the truth, haven't you? In your parents' eyes, you'll never be better than me!]

The love of an Invisible

The love of an Invisible

- Come in," he says, in a thick voice that makes the hairs on the back of my neck tingle. He really isn't a boy anymore. (Iuri Stevens' vision) For about three years the orphanage has been abandoned, the last director caused it to fall into disrepair, now, a theme park has bought the place and will demolish it, but the fact that she makes donations doesn't answer the fact that she wants my father to buy it so badly... I wonder if she abandoned any children there. Since she went out with so many men, she might have accidentally gotten pregnant and put the child inside so as not to hinder her in her next conquests. This sucks!

My Last Wish

My Last Wish

"Don’t blame me…" That was our last real conversation. After that, I slipped away again. Every day, I heard voices—Yannick, Louisa, Jordan, Quella… Even James. But never my parents' voices. Then, the machines blared. There was panic, shouting, and someone sobbing. Someone was crying for me? Good. I had spent my whole life being selfless. Just this once, I chose me. That was enough. Soon, everything faded. "Time of death, 23:43."

Winning Her Back

Winning Her Back

And beneath it all, a gnawing guilt that I was using his kindness, his open heart, as a bandage for wounds I hadn’t healed. "Stop it," I muttered to myself, shifting the heavy box of cake boxes balanced precariously on my hip. The familiar gates of Lastenlinna came into view. Sanctuary. Purpose. Today, at least, I could focus on something real. Something good. The orphanage was buzzing, a hive of barely contained chaos. Sister Agnes, usually the picture of serene calm, was directing traffic with the fervor of a wartime general, her habit askew. Children darted like colourful minnows, clutching handmade paper flags or practising solemn bows. Someone, a faceless, generous someone had been spon

MARKED BY THE SILENCED WOLF

MARKED BY THE SILENCED WOLF

It had produced a life. I walked out into the corridor, my legs feeling heavy with a strange, peaceful exhaustion. Thorne was leaning against the opposite wall, his arms crossed over his chest. He looked at me, and I saw the question in his eyes before he could speak. “A boy,” I said, a smile breaking across my face. “And Thorne… he’s perfect. He doesn’t have the iron in him.” Thorne let out a long, shuddering breath. He pulled me into his arms, his chin resting on the top of my head. “Then we really are the last of our kind, Winnie. The last of the monsters.”

Restoring Prestoria #1

Restoring Prestoria #1

“I used to be like you; an orphan. My parents were killed unjustly by an evil Queen. They did not deserve to die but life always surprised us. I have suffered with my brothers. We used to live in a leaking hut infested with cockroaches and rats but our life changed for the better when we met Angela. “She is more valuable than gold, having her is equal to having the world. She is one of the best friends I ever had. One day I found out I was not the only orphan out there. I promised to help the number of orphans I could and now I am. “Today I want to announce that the Funding Lives Orphanage is officially open!” She cut the ribbon as the crowd cheered. They gently walked into the orphanage. Se

The Underworld Trials of Luna

The Underworld Trials of Luna

That Orion was toying with me that whole time – it was all fake – and now I’m going to die. Anton presses himself warm against my side, a whine in his throat, and I look down into his eyes, wanting him to be the last thing I see as those wraiths tear me to pieces. Not Orion, and not anything else in this horrible place. Just Anton, at the last. He shakes his head, denying it, wanting me to have hope. But I just…I’m so afraid. I have no place for it in my heart. “The last Contestant to be ranked in the Top,” Orion says, his deep voice booming out through the room. “Is…”

I cannot say nearly enough positive things about this book. It’s both a stand alone incredible story, as well as an amazing addition to the universe of “alphas surrogate”. I hope the author continues this family’s stories through other characters lives as well. Her writing is my favorite on this app

Billionaire' s Possessive Love.

Billionaire' s Possessive Love.

My steps halted before entering, my eyes widened as my mouth hanged opened “An orphanage. “Hello, welcome to the crystal orphanage, do you wish to see how we operate or are you here to donate?” An old woman smiled at me wearing a scarf, my eyes look for Adrian who is already disappeared, apparently, the woman senses the distress on my face “Are you looking to meet, sir I mean Mr Adrian.” she says.

I enjoyed this story very much. Great story that I couldn't stop reading. It held my attention until the very end. There were some grammar issues and name changing which was confusing (Adrain/Aidan and Jake/Jacob). I recommend this book. I will definitely check out other books from this author!

The Don's Wife, The Brother's Whore

The Don's Wife, The Brother's Whore

Like an afterthought. The status was resolved, but the details under it weren’t resolved at all. “One member survived.” “Female.” “Child.” “Placed deliberately.” Then the orphanage name appeared, and I froze. The same orphanage. The one my mother had left me at. The one my father secretly funded. The one where I grew up. The one where I met Lilith. My body started to lock in place. Slowly, I leaned back in my chair, staring up at the ceiling as if it might offer distance from what I had just read.
