The Last Orphan Novels & Stories

After about two hours of non stop driving, the cars pulled to a halt in front of an orphanage; All's well Orphanage and they all stepped out of the car. They walked into the orphanage and requested to see the oldest person in the orphanage who happens to be a man by the name, Mr. Lyon. A lady led the way to Mr. Lyon's office and knocked softly on the door. "Come in" A deep old voice responded from behind the door.

Clara, Max, and Jeremy all grew up in the orphanage. That’s where they adopted one another as siblings. As young adults, this ragtag crew changed their last names to Johnson, in homage to the wrestler, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. They left Max at the orphanage when he was around 5 years old. Jeremy was only 2 during that time, so they had no recollection of their parents. Because the orphanage was very poor, they forced the older kids to care for the younger ones. This was to ensure that everyone would have someone to care for them and minimize the cost of hiring additional personnel.

Athena opened the opposite door, but her intention to get into the car was interrupted by the voice of a man. Next to Aren Elio whispered: “The last window.” No one answered. Because suddenly they all understood what the words on the map had meant. Only one of the windows of the house had not been forgotten. And there was someone waiting for them. The night started. And the old orphanage slowly opened its door.
