His muscles when he moved, and the way sweat beaded down them. The last time I spoke to him it wasn’t kind. He implied something that insulted me, and I yelled at him. The last words a man who loved me heard me say were in anger. I know I tenderly held him when he was gone, but the last thing he heard me say was not kind. I may never be able to get over that.

I heard the last statement in a low tune showing he was talking to someone else with the phone away from his mouth. "What?" "I have I go now kitty, remember my instructions" He said and it saddens me he is leaving. "Here are my instructions, don't skip you meals, take your phone with you, don't ever stop thinking of me" the last statement escaped my lips and I can't take it back. "Sure ma'am, but what will I think of you as" he asked. "Will tell you the answer the next time we speak" I said and he laughs "Sure kitty, goodnight, sleep well"

I could hear pain in his voice. "I'm going home". I said with authority. But the young man did not listen to me. "I don't care what you say to me anymore. I don't care what you think of me now. I don't care about everything anymore. All I care is now. Let me have this chance one last time. We'll be both married soon. This will be our last night together. Let's treat this last moment special". He said. His voice cracked at the last word. "You're selfish". I said crying.

“Tell your father I kept my promise.” And as the last flicker of my power faded, I whispered — softly, almost lovingly — “No matter what you do with your life, never forget how much I love you,” I whispered — and smiled one last time as the darkness claimed me.

He couldn't have spent one last night with me before we find our mates? I'm left thinking about how the last time he touched me was when he kissed me on the forehead at the hospital. There was so much emotion in that one kiss. Was that the goodbye? The final nail on the fucking coffin? Is he really that much of a coward to not tell me directly? His voice was thick with emotions and I could see the tears that slipped down his cheeks. This was probably going to be our last moments together. I was going to tell him how much I loved him and I wanted him to say the same to me because this was going to be the last tien he would feel this for me. I could already imagine the hate he was going to feel towards him after letting him know that I had been sent to kill him. That I had been sent to monitor and answer to someone else while pretending to be a man.
