I had finally gotten into my house now and before we could settle down in the lounge room, Lincoln turned to give me a very dirty slap on my face. I was greatly infuriated by this and turned to fighthim, Lincoln saw this and smiled. "How dare you slap me!" I yelled on top of my voice knowing that this wasn't the first time, he was doing this.

Lincoln shrugged his shoulders. "No, but seeing you all worked up over some human chick is fucking hilarious. Why don't you just fuck her and get it out of your system." I lost whatever restraint I had on my anger as I lunged at him and pinned him against the wall. "Don't talk about her like that." I snapped, Flint fighting for dominance as I tried to force myself to calm down. Lincoln looked at me wide-eyed as he put his hands up in surrender. I pushed off of him and headed for my closet. I could hear his mind working as he pieced it all together.

“Your insult game is next level, Linc. Muppets, doofuses . . .” Lincoln turned and lunged for me. I ran to the house, shrieking with laughter as he followed, reminding me that he had three brothers and knew how to tickle me until I apologized. I gave good chase, mentally patting myself on the back for bringing the humor back. Neither of us was awkward as long as we kept things light. I reached the house first and jumped over the broken step just as his phone rang again. He growled behind me, answering it quickly.

Thus, he retrieved his phone and made a video call in front of the Traffic Light Trio. As Liam's face appeared on the screen, Lincoln suddenly used all his might to shout, "You jerk!" The next instant, he swiftly ended the call in a flash before Liam could take in his words. As if Lincoln had done something extraordinary, he waved his phone and shouted, "Are you happy now?" Luke covered his ears. "I heard you. Why do you have to shout? You may alert the security guard." Lincoln continued to shout, "You guys were the one who asked me to scold him!"

Blood welled quickly, bright against my pale flesh. “You’re insane!” Hector snarled, twisting Alison’s arm until she yelped. “Attacking her in front of everyone?” “Let me go!” she spat, struggling against his grip. “She doesn’t deserve any of it!” “Don’t touch her!” Lincoln roared at hector suddenly. His face was red with fury as he stormed across the room. “Take your filthy hands off my wife!” The room erupted into chaos—Alison screeching, Hector holding her back, Lincoln lunging toward them. I pressed my bleeding arm against my dress, the metallic smell of blood filling my nose, and something in me just snapped.

Lincoln’s voice boomed as he rushed forward, attempting to pry Julia from Jared’s grasp. Jared took a step back, evading Lincoln’s reach while keeping Julia firmly ensconced in his arms. “Jared, are you out of your mind? You barged in and knocked into my boss. What’s your problem? Are you itching for a fight? I’m warning you, let go of my boss now, or I won’t hesitate to take you on!” Lincoln declared, tearing off his suit jacket and assuming a combative stance, ready to confront Jared. Jared’s frigid gaze lifted from Lincoln’s form, his eyes fixating on the young woman held in his arms. “Is he a woman?”

He then hisses, "WHO DID THIS? WAS IT ONE OF THEM?" I realise that he is talking about the cut and bruise on my cheek Lincoln gave me. I lower my eyes as I shake my head 'No'. He then asks again, "WHO DID THIS?" "Lincoln!" He hisses once more and turns looking out of the cage. He seems to scan the area and then stops. I see a hint of a smile on his lips. I follow his line of sight and see Logan fighting his father, putting him on his arse, again and again, making him angrier and angrier until he shifts.

He grabs Nathan by the collar and jerks him hard. “Stay away from my family!” Lincoln threatens. “Stay away from Halsey as well!” “No!” Nathan boldly states. “I won’t. I won’t stay away from her. Now move!” Lincoln doesn’t let him go but is about to punch Nathan. The latter dodges the attack and with his uninjured leg, he reflexively kicks Lincoln in the stomach. Lincoln doubles down on the ground in pain. He glares at Nathan, challenging him to hit him again but to his surprise, Nathan doesn’t attack.
