The King's Maiden

The King's Maiden

“The mothers at the orphanage said they found me in a crib at the door step on a raining day in the month of November. They had heard the doorbell ring but when they opened up—” “—No one was there.” Luca completes, his red hair sparkling under the fire torches. “I dropped you off, November. I watched you pee your pants, poop your pants, and even eat sand. I made sure you got adopted by a lovely Irish couple. I made sure you had connections with great people. I made sure you got into fame, and got the love and attention you deserved. I did all that to ensure you had a sweet life. Yet, what do I get for it?” He chuckles, humorlessly; he tends to do that a lot. “I get pushed away from the Grand

I only saw the old librarian that sat in front of a stack of books while reading. "This is what you are looking for", I was surprised when she spoke and raised a book with the title,UPRISING.I know it’s for me as I am the only one here. I opened the book. First page, table of contents. I just selected to open the middle because I didn't have time. August 2008 Seraphim Orphanage is slowly dying.Toddlers might as well. Cursed Claws: Bound by the Curse, Clawed by the Past

“I’ll tell you everything, just don’t let her take me.” He stopped, one brow raised, his expression both skeptical and intrigued. “You’d better start talking.” I took a deep, shaky breath, trying to gather my thoughts. “I’m one of the orphans from Duskhallow. It’s a horrible place, run by Old Miss Ray. She’s everywhere a crime is committed, and no one ever questions her. I’ve tried to escape before, but this time…this time, I got further. A strange creature saved me.”

True Mate for Two Alphas

True Mate for Two Alphas

"Yes, dear. It's our duty to support them and bring a bit of joy into their lives whenever we can. Many have faced challenges no child should endure." The weight of their struggles settled on me as we approached the orphanage. The sounds of laughter and playfulness greeted us, but the underlying sadness lingered in my thoughts. "Thank you for telling me, Aunt Ruth," I said, grateful for her openness. She squeezed my shoulder gently. "It's important to understand their stories, Sabrina. It helps us connect with them on a deeper level." Reaching the orphanage, the sounds of laughter and playful chatter greeted us. The children, each carrying their unique stories, looked up with hopeful eyes as

Marriage For Revenge

Marriage For Revenge

Natalie covered the 40-minute road in 25 minutes. She parked her car in front of the orphanage, got out of the car, and ran inside the orphanage. There was a deep silence in the orphanage, there was no sound except the sound of the rain. The orphanage, which was always filled with the laughter of small children, has now assumed a silent state like a crematorium.

Whispers of the Forgotten

Whispers of the Forgotten

The landscape was alien and foreboding, a surreal amalgamation of shifting shadows and fragmented structures that seemed perpetually on the verge of collapse. The air was thick with an unsettling stillness, broken only by the occasional whisper of forgotten memories. Each whisper was like a ghostly touch against her skin, a fleeting sensation that left her shivering. The whispers were disjointed, fragments of conversations, cries, and laughter that seemed to echo from the very walls of Nyxterra. They whispered her name in haunting, fragmented tones, urging her deeper into the darkness.

The Dragon Prince's Thief

The Dragon Prince's Thief

"Maybe Orna used some kind of magic to make you forget." "Maybe. But I remember the story now. I remember Orna telling me that new things start from destruction. She was obsessed with that book. It had a dark brown leather cover that looked like it was a dragon's skin. It was different than the normal books. She always carried it with her and sometimes she read it to me. Only to me," I said as I remembered the nights she read stories to me. I was besotted with Orna. She was my cool aunt. I loved her and I was sure she loved me. Maybe she never did. "I was small. I was around seven or eight. The same age as Lili when she started reading the book to me. It was interesting. She would tell the s

Vera and Mateo are my OTP. Books should have men like Mateo. No abuse, no Rejection and no weak characters that makes you want to stop. Every page is filled with flirty banters, sweet and steamy moments and mystery that unfolds throughout the book. This book shouldn't be missed. something different.

Another great book from one of my favourite authors. You can't help but fall in love with Vera and Mateo. Their chemistry is off the charts, and the banter between characters will have you coming back for more.

The lost hybrid

The lost hybrid

Taking a deep breath, we walk into the orphanage together. Frank is inside sitting with the children, reading them a story. He glances up briefly but goes right back to reading to the children. He is reading a story about a lost girl that finally found a home. As he finishes the story, he finally makes eye contact with me, his eyes a little misty. "Alright everyone, it is time for bed. Let's get to sleep so that we can get an early start in the morning." He says to the children.

The Lost Alphas Daughter

The Lost Alphas Daughter

This had been a terrible idea. “Do you mind holding Charlotte?” Gaia asked, already running to organize the kids for storytime. Mechanically, I nodded and took the one-year-old in my arms. She sucked her fingers and looked at me inquisitively. Gaia sang out for storytime, and the kids instantly obeyed. I sat down, feeling the weight of Charlotte in my arms as Gaia told the story. The orphanage was beautiful, filled with new toys, books, and plenty of spaces for the kids. Alpha Ansel was very generous in donating funds when Gaia told him about her passion for helping orphans.
