A crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, and the window overlooked the city of Paris. Perfect for night view. Henry began, a mischievous glint in his eyes, "what's on your must-do list in Paris?" I pretended to ponder dramatically, tapping my chin, "Well, a clandestine mission to uncover the secret of the perfect croissant is certainly on the agenda." Henry chuckled, "Ah, a pastry quest. I should've known." As we meandered through the city streets, we engaged in a delightful game of "spot the most stylish Parisian." Henry, with his innate charm, managed to convince a local café owner to share the secret to the perfect café au lait. I, on the other hand, was busy practicing my limited French with anyone willing to endure the struggle.

(POV: Nora) The glass walls of the private rooftop pavilion on the Île Saint-Louis looked out over a Paris that seemed entirely spun from silver and twilight. Below us, the Seine moved like a slow, dark ribbon, cutting through the ancient heart of the city, reflecting the amber necklaces of the streetlamps and the distant, filigreed ironwork of the Eiffel Tower.

PRESENT PIERRE PARIS, FRANCE The morning light pierces through the smoked glass of my office with surgical precision, but my eyes remain fixed on that damn quadrant of the monitor. Already dressed in an impeccable Tom Ford suit, the knot of my tie tightens like a reminder of the restraint I should maintain.

AMELIA XAVIER The streets of Paris looked rather pleasant, the street lights and the well lit restaurants lined up like an endless tail of a serpent. Stars dotted the sky as the crescent moon tried its best at bringing light to the already lit roads. Paris had so much life. I walked down the street admiring the modest but extravagant lifestyle of these people, and not to lie, the fashion was on a whole different level. I switched on my phone to check the time. 10:01pm

Somewhere that feels like a choice. We look at the city. Paris in autumn, the light turning gold through the windows, the rooftops spread out below us like a map of somewhere we don't quite live. "Renaud Petit had a daughter," she says quietly. "Eight years old." I don't say anything.

Emma stared out of the window admiring the beauty and culture along with the street golden lights illuminating the entire street. Damien also showed her the luvre museum on their drive along with other places famous and known in Paris.

“Alright, let’s go.” Paris at night is lit by thousands of lights—street lamps, building lights, strings of bulbs hanging from trees; warm yellow glows that seem to float in the air. The old buildings with their ornate architecture line the streets and wind through narrow alleys. The Champ-de-Mars is one of the most beautiful parks in Paris, with stretches of green and trees that lead the way to the Eiffel Tower.

He wasn’t looking at anyone in particular, just staring into his glass, fingers slowly turning it in place. Still, for now, the room was warm with laughter. -- I placed my fork down gently on the edge of my plate, wiping the corners of my mouth with my napkin. I leaned slightly forward, eyes narrowing playfully as I looked across the table at Serena, who was still giggling from Raymond’s embarrassing sprinkler story. “Serena,” I said, tilting my head. “So... tell me. What’s Paris like?” She blinked, surprised. “Oh. Uh, Paris?” She smiled. “It’s magical, really. A little chaotic, but in a good way. Full of history, energy… people who think their coffee is superior to everyone else’s.”

Just a small, fluttering moment between two artists in Paris. Or maybe it’ll be something else entirely.
