Knocking softly on the door, she entered and found Lord Arcturus immersed in his work, surrounded by maps and scrolls.
"Father," she began, her voice tinged with a mix of resignation and determination, "I must speak with you."
Lord Arcturus glanced up, concern etched across his face. "Elizabeth, what troubles you, my dear?"
Taking a seat across from him, Lady Elizabeth struggled to find the right words. "I have come to realize that Prince Alexander's heart does not belong to me," she confessed, her voice barely above a whisper. "He harbors deep feelings for Princess Isabella."
