CHAPTER 13

I was amazed the whole time. It feels like nothing could rip away my smiles and joy. Until the ride stopped moving when we reached the top so I was a bit confused. I moved a little and looked down to see what’s happening down there.

But, then I saw the operator leaving so I panicked a little. “Wait, the man’s leaving us here, look!” I turned to Lurcos, but he just gave me his sweet look.

He gently pulled closer to his side and wrapped his arm around my waist. “Don’t worry, he’s just probably leaving for a snack. He’ll surely be back later,” he said with his assuring tone.

“Wait! Did you plan this?”

He chuckled. “One little tiny surprise won’t hurt. Let’s enjoy the city lights instead, shall we?” he pointed to the view in front of us.

We were so high that we could see a huge part of the city from up here, the city lights and the lights from the cars stuck in the never ending traffic. The blending of the lights turns out to be like an art handmade by a great artist. It was peaceful to
