His father tried to reason. As they spoke, his mother walked into his office. His mother, the luna of the pack, Caua Wolf was a woman in her early fourties. She was only a little over five foot which made her very short compared to her husband and son. She had long brown hair and brown eyes that shone whenever she spoke. She also had very soft features. She was a caring mother and a kind luna. All the people of the pack love her for her good heart, and Rodriguez loved his mom more than anyone else.

Luna smacks Ethan's hand away and sits up. "You had your people kidnap me?" Ethan lowers his lashes. His voice is deep and quiet. "You broke your promise first, Luna." A deep loneliness clings to his features. Luna promised him. She said that when everything was over, she would stay by his side. And Ethan has always treated every word she says like scripture. "Ethan, your logic is completely twisted. We are over. It's in the past. Stop being delusional." Luna's voice sharpens as anger floods her face.

"I won't let you stay here, Luna. I promise, no matter what it takes, I will find a way to free you. You mean everything to me." Luna met his gaze, recognizing the sincerity in his eyes. Her lips curled into a small, hopeful smile, appreciating the depth of his commitment. She extended her fingers through the bars, reaching out to Ashford. He eagerly enveloped her hand, a silent promise passing between them as they exchanged a tender smile. "Do you want a pinky promise?" Ashford asked. Luna shook her head. "No, I want everyone to recognize my worth. Can you cause enough disruption in the pack that they'll need me?"
