Sold To The Night Lord Novels & Stories

"Tell me exactly what happened when you met with the other two. What were you offered, in return for whatever you gave them?" She wiped her face, voice shaking. "She said she was your sister. Said you'd be crowned the next vampire lord, but that some sacrifices had to be made first. They needed things from you — your seed, your blood, your hair." She hesitated. "And something else. Something important. She never told me what it was." "Go on."

“Crystal clear, my dear. A straightforward transaction. I have no desire to be… scoured.” The details were hammered out with brutal efficiency. The united wolf forces—now dubbed the Thorn Alliance—would assault the main entrance to the Blackwood ancestral lands at midnight on the Convergence, creating a massive, noisy diversion. Selene and Dominic would lead the charge, their combined tactical minds our best hope for a convincing, sustained attack.

The healer swallowed hard, eyes darting between me and the four predators in velvet chairs. “There’s a rare fruit. It grows only in the far East, deep in the Crimson Mist Mountains. The plant is called Sanguis Nocturna. Blood Night Bloom.” He hesitated. “The pack in the East guards it like a god. Their Alpha... Zephyr Veyl considers it sacred. Only the ruling bloodline is allowed to touch it. Our pack and theirs… we’ve been at odds for three generations. Trade embargoes. Blood feuds. Last skirmish cost both sides two dozen lives.”

“She brought me the wrong drink. I told her I was allergic. She wouldn’t listen. I panicked… I pushed her… I didn’t know it would—” I stumbled forward, my legs weak. “Oh, Moon Goddess…” My gaze fell on the woman’s body. She was a wolf. How could she have died from just a push? Her face was turned away. I couldn’t recognize her. My heart pounded against my ribs so loudly I could barely hear him anymore. He was shaking, tears streaking down his face. “If the council finds out, they’ll strip me of my title. I’ll never be Alpha. I’ll lose everything.”

Others like him shifted in their seats, discomfort plain. “It was Bloodthorn coin that paid for those markets,” one older Mooncrest lord said loudly from his place on the left. “Bloodthorn knives that guarded the auctions. Bloodthorn wolves who stood by while our princess was sold.” My spine stiffened. “So we are now to clasp hands and sing songs with them?” he went on. “Forgive me, Alpha, but—” “I didn’t ask you to forgive,” Alden said evenly. “I asked you to think.”

I want this token to be remembered for all eternity. 'Are you sure about this, Greko? I heard that he pampered his luna to the moon.' 'Do not tell me that you are getting scared of that whore? The behemoth lost because she summoned the Phoniex from the elven continent. But summoning a supernatural beast like that one needs offering and great strength. I am damn sure that the whore is recuperating right now behind that bastard.'

I expect his hand to shoot out and grab me through the bars, then I remember how small the bars are. He can’t get to me in here. “Last night, you knocked out six warriors, chained them in place of slaves, and went off to Selene knows where.”

Aurora shifted her position, taking an empty jar on the table and getting a ladle to transfer the potion into the jar. "What's this potion called?" she asked curiously. "This is the kiss of death potion. If the alpha king doesn't fall in love with you, then put a small amount of this potion in his drink. He will fall for you in just a second. Hard," she smiled more wickedly. When the Gunners spread the word across Rockmount that they are looking for a woman to marry their son, Arden, and bear his children, Aurora sent Erina, her daughter, to seduce the alpha king and become his bride.

He stepped slightly to the side, but stayed close enough that he could intervene if she tried to lunge at me. “I just wanted to come here and let you know that you can have all of them. Fabian, Reece, Mr. Raines, Max and all those other f*ckers my dad made me spread my legs for. Apparently I’m not good enough anymore and no one wants me, so my dad cut me off from everything. He can whore your ass around from now on.” She’s looking daggers at me. “WHAT?! Your dad sold you to all of them? Why would he do that?” I am so disgusted and surprised I can’t hide it or say anything else.

His muscles flexed under his tight shirt and his jaw tightened. "Do you really believe that the only reason I keep you here is because of your parents? I am Damion Night I don't do anything for anyone unless it benefits me and my family. Think about that the next time you want to kill one of my guards and try and run away." With that he turned his back on me and stalked out of the basement.
