Heat and Rut
“Third command, take my scent.”
He pressed his body to mine, and dragged his jaw along my shoulder, marking me. His scent spread over me, on my clothes, my skin, and in my nose. It was pine trees, power, and man.
I turned my face away, refusing to breathe him in.
He grabbed my chin and forced my head back. "Take it," he commanded. My body went slack, I had no choice so I breathed in. His scent rushed into my lungs, sinking into my blood. "Good," he whispered, his mouth near my ear. "Now, don't speak until I say so."
