SWEET SPOT

SWEET SPOT

Nyla I stared at the photo on my screen, unable to look away. Ezekiel stood there by the pool, shirtless and glistening, his wet hair slicked back, those perfectly carved abs catching the sunlight like some kind of god. My brother Garrett was next to him, laughing, but my eyes only saw Ezekiel. He looked so hot it almost hurt. I’d been invited to go with them today, but the usual shyness had crept in, and I’d said no. Now I was regretting it so badly my chest ached.

They saw the facilities and, finally, the rooms. “Sir, this is the premium room, it has access to a private beach.” “Could you give us a minute alone?” “Yes, sir.” The employee left the room. Axel and Alicia walked towards some lounge chairs at the exit of the room and sat down. Seconds later, Axel let out a big sigh before speaking. “Miss Torres?” “Yes, sir?” Alicia asked, looking at him while he continued to stare at the beach.

I'm sure I'm gonna faint when I enter, just kidding " if you're done drooling, you can follow me inside " came ivan's annoying voice. He is so annoying. Anyways,i followed him inside and behold the hall was magnificent. I really don't know which word can describe it except that.

On the left was the white and grey themed kitchen, and on the right was the living room with a massive door way enabling whoever was in the kitchen to chat across the hall. The sofas were C shaped and light purple in color with grey and silver cushions. The eighty five inch flat screen smart TV was mounted above a TV stand fully decorated with crystals, sculptures and other assorted things. Rose was so excited she nearly leaped from her chair and Marianne was still blown away by the fact that they would be living there from there on.

he said, clasping his hands as he led them into yet another spacious showroom. Leslie was mesmerized by the wonderful contemporary showcase there. Even Julian found himself looking around in appreciation. "And here we are," Arthur beamed, outstretching his hands. "Oh Arthur, it's beautiful. Really, it really lives up to the name Spectra. Frequently Asked Questions

So I went into 'The Spectacular' thinking it was historical fiction, given the marketing and setting. Finished the whole thing and was surprised to find zero author's note about real events. Turns out it's original fiction, but the author did a deep dive into the era's newspapers, fashion, and slang to make it feel authentic. It's like a period-accurate stage play they wrote from scratch.

I liked that approach, honestly. It borrows the texture of reality without being constrained by a specific person's biography. Lets the characters do wilder, more dramatic things than a straight adaptation might allow. Some readers in my book club felt almost tricked, though, expecting a true story. The title probably didn't help.
