He was still in all black. His eyes fell on me like a slow-falling guillotine. “Montana,” he said with a smooth, unreadable voice. “How do you do?” How… how dare this man?! He didn’t let me speak as he raised an eyebrow and pointed to the big screen. “Oh, this?” he calmly said, like a nouveau riche. “You were aware your husband recorded you every time you both had sex without your consent, right?”

* James * When we arrived, I parked the vehicle in the circular drive. She got down before I could even kill the engine. Two figures stepped out from the portico, an older man with shoulders that still carry a general's straightness and a face carved by decisions, Lance Dankworth if I am not mistaken, and beside him a smaller, composed old woman, Julliane Dankworth, whose eyes scan me with a practiced cool. They both look exactly like the kind of people who had run things here long before I was breathing.

The air was thick with tension, like even breathing had become heavy. Six men in dark suits sat around the table. Their faces were hidden in the shadows, and only an occasional glance showed their coldness and determination. The man in charge, code-named "Specter," slowly stood up. He tapped his fingers lightly on the table, his voice low and icy. "Hey everyone, long time no see."
