I whipped around to Roe and Venus with wide frightened eyes, “The twins” I whispered. My voice broke slightly with the fear warping into my words. We don’t know who these Weres are, or what their intentions are. Do they really mean no harm, or is it just a ploy to get close enough to hurt us. Are they here from me, or for my babies, who knows. I can’t take the risk of waiting to find out. The twins are the most important thing, and I will kill anyone that threatens their lives. Really living up to that billionaire charm, aren’t you?” Xavier, now fully aware that he looked ridiculous, stammered, “I didn’t mean—” Before he could finish, the door flew open again, and the twins peeked in, their faces full of mischief. “Is it over yet?” they giggled, clearly enjoying the chaos they’d caused. Conversely, Matilda only chuckled softly before smiling a little, satisfied to have won this little round. The car slowed as Harry took the final turn towards the twins' prep school. Colonial-style buildings with spacious playgrounds came into view, and the sounds of children's chatter and laughter could already be heard even though we were still in the distance. I patted Matilda's shoulder gently. “It's done. You look beautiful.” “Thanks, Ma,” she replied as she checked her braids on the small screen of her tablet. Her gaze soon shifted to Theo, and she grinned. “Look, Theo, I'm even prettier than your voice.”

So, needless to say, I was fuming, and of course, to everyone else, it might just look like I was taking their shit. These two were known as ‘the twins’ on campus because of how eerily similar they looked and acted, but the catch was that they were born from two different families; hell, Kristen was older than Donny by four months. Regardless, they chose a day between their birthdays as a day to celebrate and liked to call each other “twin” or “sister.”

I burst out laughing too coz the look on the twins’ faces was priceless. “MOM !!!!” they screamed in horror. “We will drown her in chloroform if she tries to even enter our sacred abode !!!!” they chimed together. Did I mention the twins were not only trained warriors but were studying medicine to become specialized surgeons too ? No ? Well they were and I could tell that they would really jab shots of anaesthesia into their dear sister and flee off away from her. Haha.
