Novel & Cerita The Westing Game

I looked around the party hall as we entered; it was beautiful. "Welcome to our 30th mating party! Ladies and gentlemen, put on your masks! Now, may we have all the ladies come up here?" A woman, who I think was the MC, grabbed our attention. We all stood up and went to the stage. "Okay! We will be rating you on your strength and beauty to impress your mate." I just sat in my seat as I watched them participate, along with Jess, who also wasn't interested in finding another mate. The MC continued calling the names while I secured my mask on my face.

“France. Both of you. The Westons should be in Paris by the end of the week. That’s where the game begins.” Thorne said nothing, but the tension rolling off him was electric, dangerous. I sat back, confused and burning, my mind a storm. Who the fuck was Lorie—and why did the name make my brother look like he’d seen a ghost? Is he cheating on Delilah? I'd love to find out.

she said defeatedly while Jules quited down. "Falling game is a couple game. You need to actt like a real couple. Where a man chooses his partner among the participants, only days are given in the game. There are activities and attendance. There is a punishment for those who are not active or caynt follow the rules. The price is high but that game is very dangerous. They give letters to the people they choose to participate in ", she explains almost whispering to me. "I think they started giving the letters yesterday in the lockers", Jules inserts.

“My appetite has always been good, but there’s no good stock. I’m almost starving.” “Hey, I’m here to tell you about a good stock today!” “Oh?” “Maple Ephys is the top quality woman.” After they talked, Warren exposed Maple’s information to West. The moment he hung up, Warren flashed a wicked smile. “Haha. let me see how Maple can still survive this time!” Caleb curiously asked, “Mr. Parkinson, who is this West?” “He is a criminal whose brain is full of beautiful women. He is able to commit any crimes to have fun with beautiful women.

His eyes lit up and he stood up at once, “I have been waiting for you.” He pushed his chair away and smiled at the astonished crowd, “You guys have fun. I have something else to do.” “But—But you haven’t shown your cards yet!” Wendy stuttered, “The game—the bet—” “I fold.” Westin tossed his cards to the table and pushed all his coins across the table to Wendy, “You win. Congratulation.” “You are so close to winning!” one maid cried, “Giving up right now is such a pity!” “Well, I don’t like to keep a lady waiting.”

The difference is Arson knots are actually more beautiful. Weston and Jase are standing above JT who Uncle Dom is tying up in black. When they are down Uncle Jax claps his hands three times. “Now that's over with, let's go play another game!” He beams excitedly. He snaps pointing to Tempest who are all now bound with ball gags in their mouths. Where did those come from? I look at my boys who all have glee shining in their eyes. Oh. They have the gags hidden somewhere. I find it very curious to find out where they have stuff stashed in this loft now and why? Are they wanting something to happen up here? Do I want it to?

Maybe this was a trap, maybe this was a Ponzi scheme or the front for an illicit money laundering and drug circle. My imagination ran wild, pulling at different threads of trashy guilty pleasure novels I had read about women falling into a world of danger and criminal activity once they were approached by a brooding CEO. Though Corbyn Emerson didn’t appear to be a Mafia Lord or gang leader, he seemed too proper for that. And judging from the lack of visible tattoos that didn’t seem like the best conclusion to come to.. After staring at the small rectangle of a card that wasn’t even really a card more like a thin sheet of metal, it felt more like a credit card than a piece of fancily printed

Despite the shifting tides, some stubborn members of the Chamber of Commerce clung to their cunning ways, refusing to yield. Previously, Westin had assumed that his target, known for being money-obsessed, would agree without much resistance. But upon arriving, he found himself drinking far more than discussing business. Two days and a relentless hangover later, Westin realized he'd been played. That wily old man! Refocusing his attention on the task at hand, Westin addressed the screen with renewed determination. "Mr. York, it's not just Ludwiten's companies interested in partnering with us. Even the Wagner family from Janovin is eager to collaborate.

"I'll find a new partner. Jamie can team up with Mum so she can participate in the games for a change." We all wondered who Jeanette's new partner would be, but Auntie Laurel seemed surprisingly calm. I overheard her telling Jamie, "We have to win, so I don't have to buy Conrad or Jeanette a car. I don't want either of my children to end up in jail or reported missing." As we gathered in the living room, Auntie Laurel announced the games for the night—charades, French culture, and painting. However, Jeanette's partner had yet to arrive.

Her voice was gone. Only the shard of broken glass on the floor still faintly shimmered where she had been. From the crowd, someone whispered, “Maybe this is some trick by the professor…” No one responded. Because a question had begun to rise inside everyone — If this is a game… then how does it end? Suddenly, a laugh echoed from the back row. Rishabh. Always smiling. Always the one who made fun of everything. He stood up and said casually, “Why are you all so scared? Come on, yaar. This is just a psychological game.
