The Discarded Wife

The Discarded Wife

"He sold you to us, little bird. He handed you over on a silver platter just to save his pathetic name." Rhys walked slowly toward the desk, his steps silent and predatory. He reached out, his long, elegant fingers gripping her jaw with a bruising, unyielding force. He tilted her face up, forcing her to look into his dark eyes behind the lenses of his glasses. "You are trembling, Elena. Is it fear, or are you finally realizing how pathetic your husband is compared to us?"

Affair with the Rockstar

Affair with the Rockstar

“I’m reading the Wife of Bath’s tale.” His eyes opened a bit wider. “Ohhh, the horny chick.” I smiled tightly. “Yes. That was Chaucer’s original title for it. ‘The Horny Chick’s Tale.’” He arched one eyebrow. “Am I wrong?” Actually, no, he wasn’t. The Wife of Bath brags that she’s been married five times, all to guys with great chests and large, um… packages. At one point she speculates on how much her hoo-ha would get at auction. Hint: she thought it would break records.

Woke up married to a Barbarous Billionaire

Woke up married to a Barbarous Billionaire

Chapter 17 She had no forethought and planning. Isn’t it? Sophia understood when a person’s days turn wrong even the wolves in the forest will start counseling them on do’s and don'ts. “You thought you would go to that womanizer and I will keep my hands folded here like an impotent husband? Ms. Sophia Campbell, you might not be aware of the qualities of that pig, but I sure do and I will not see my wife turning a whore right before my eyes. He will eat you alive and then sell you to a brothel the next day to fill his pockets.”

A Scorned Wife's Tale of Revenge

"At the end of the day, I am still the legal wife." "Well, let's see about that," she chuckled as if she had something up her sleeve before turning on her heel. What the?! "What do you mean?" I hissed as I quickly grabbed her. "I don't know," she taunted. "Why don't you ask your 'husband'?" she asked, emphasizing the last word.

Reborn to Rewrite the Throne

Reborn to Rewrite the Throne

“I am your wife now. Tonight is our wedding night, and yet you sit here mourning another woman.” “If this becomes known tomorrow, how am I meant to show my face at court?” “You told me you despised women like Hazel. You said she was arrogant, spoiled by birth and privilege. You said you hated noble ladies who flaunted their rank.” Her voice trembled with fury. “And yet here you are, drunk on the night of our wedding, grieving the woman you claim to despise.” She took a shaking breath. “It is too late now. No matter what you feel, she is already your brother’s wife.”

My Mysterious Serpent Wife

My Mysterious Serpent Wife

"Don't be so defiant. Two minutes have passed, and now you owe 3600 apologies if you want to be my beast slave. You'd better not waste this chance. "If you won't say sorry, I'm not against getting someone to make you bow and apologize!" With a snap of her fingers, assistants appeared, ready to grab my clothes and force my head down. "No... Rowena, I told you! Today's my bonding day..." Amid the struggle, a soft chuckle came from behind, and an elegant beastwoman gracefully approached. "Let's see who dares to make my husband apologize!"

Vampire Queen (Book 2 Vampire Witch Trilogy)

“I need to know about her.” Luthias was blocking my vision for the most part, but I knew the old man hadn’t moved and I could feel the him eying me warily. “She is the devil incarnate,” he finally said in a hushed tone that was just above a whisper. When I gasped with shocked surprise, he continued, “You’d do well to avoid her, miss. She was the wife of the late king who was the devil himself. Anyone who would marry a devil must be a devil as well.”

“My…my husband said he would clear the debt,” “Well,” The woman shrugged, “Where is your husband, because the last time I checked, he was in the King’s palace, taking a new marital oath and denouncing the old one.” The basket of yam wavered on Ejima’s head from the surprise that suddenly made her bones weak. “That…that’s impossible. My morning rose can never do that to me” “So you are calling me a liar?”

Genevieve Herbin
Excellent! I have been reading this book for months and I can’t put it down. I enjoy it and wish you would not make me wait so long to continue reading the next chapters. It is repetitive a lot but I can skip over to get to the important part. I will give you a 4.5 because of the repetitiveness.
