She thrives on gossip and is a phenomenal writer, but lately her articles have been dryer than her dating life. Why would you lie?” I questioned as the feeling of betrayal stung. “Oh please,” she scoffed. “You expect him to believe someone paid you three hundred thousand dollars just to pretend to be their wife? You slept with him, Georgia. That’s cheating.” I staggered back, clutching my head as her words echoed through my mind like chaotic music on repeat. My mouth opened but no words came out. How do you explain a contract marriage to save your dying husband? I sobbed softly as the feeling of betrayal burned the shattered pieces of my heart. It stung deeper than I imagined possible. This wasn't from a stranger. It was from the two people I loved the most. Now, I've got nothing left to lose. And I'll make sure I get revenge for this. No one will be spared!

When my parents call to tell me they are taking me to my childhood friend, Oliver Holland's house to meet his blind date, he is still asleep beside me. I think they are joking and whisper, "Oliver, they said they've found you someone to date." He gives a lazy hum and pulls me into his arms. "Gerry, help me pick out something to wear later. And who is Yukii ? Let's find out! Will you risk yourself, believing on a promise again? That promise that was once broken? Or was it really broken in the first place? Who knows.

What inspired you to write One Promise? You see, when I was young, life was tough. I grew up with a broken family. I never felt the love I wanted all my life. I've always love reading. That's when I found my new comfort through writing. Then I held on to it because it gave me hope. It gave me another way to ease my broken self cause I needed to. Just when I thought I already hit rock bottom with all these pain I felt ever since I was a kid, God must've still felt the need to push me more by leaving me with a monstrous dad but I saw how God changes him. So I wrote this story for my dad.
