It was grand, luxurious, and everything most people would dream of, but it wasn’t mine.
I had never imagined myself married, not like this. I had never even been in a real relationship before. Love was foreign to me,something I had only seen in movies or read about in books. And yet, here I was, bound to a man I barely understood.
Just as I was lost in my thoughts, the front door creaked open. I didn’t need to look to know who it was. My moment of peace was officially over.
I sighed and walked to the living room, grabbing my phone. I wasn’t doing anything on it, but I needed a distraction,anything to avoid conversation. But Scout, being Scout, he wasn’t one to be ignored.
