Clearly done with the mess between her two friends, she did not even bother to say goodbye before bouncing out of the scene. Unaffected, Tina produced a bottle of alcohol from her purse and carefully repositioned the necklace she was wearing to rub at her soiled collar. She looked at the accessory. She's had that necklace since she was a child and rarely took it off. It was a cylindrical violet crystal that was almost transparent, roughly the size of a thumb. Her parents had given it to her as a baby, apparently after consultation from a witch.

I agree, nodding as I huge the frail little lady. "Take this with you, a gift." One of the other women say, Ophelia. She hands me a necklace of some sort. "This is beautiful, thank you so much." I say, giving her a hug and kissing her cheek. She smiles. "You're welcome." Moving my hair out of the way, I fasten the thinly braided leather necklace at the back of my neck. The small glass turtle sits just above my cleavage, it's light blue colour reminding me of the ocean.

I’m assuming it’s a potion. “Drop the necklace in that for a minute.” I’m a little hesitant, but I decide to do as she asks. I drop the necklace in the potion and it makes an alarming sizzling noise. I watch curiously as the potion swirls around, the silver leaching from it and into the necklace until it is completely clear and just looks like water. Cam fishes the necklace out, dries it on a towel and hands it back to me. “There, it should be pretty near indestructible now. No need to worry about breaking it.” She says with satisfaction.

"You aren't mourning that girl, are you?" "No," I said. She held out a hand toward the table. "Then help me with the necklace. I have waited all morning for someone competent to fasten it." I had imagined my own hands lifting it. I had imagined the throat it would circle. In my mind it had been Halley's throat. Pale. Warm. Alive.

On one of the middle pages was a blue diamond necklace. Its glow was deep, almost like the ocean itself trapped inside fragments of light.
