You know why we can’t.” He let out a groan, resting his head on the table with a sigh. “I know.” Two men came up to our table, one wearing a pretty charming smile while the other one holding a neutral expression. “Hello, everyone.” The smiley one started. “It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Please allow us to introduce ourselves.” He pointed to the man beside him. “This is my brother, Falco. And I am Ravio. We both stand here today as representatives of MoonBay pack and speak on behalf of our father.”

i asked him and he chuckled. “What's funny? You keep laughing when I'm asking serious questions.” I said and he laughed again. “Well just incase you wanna know my name is Luca.* He answered and the name rang a bell in my ears. Stefano had told me about his brother Luca before but I didn't think I had the chance of meeting him. Yet alone meet him in conditions like this. Indedd my husband had told me about his estranged brother who has felt like the family had betrayed him over land issues so he ran away.

I glanced at him, noticing the shadow that crossed his face—the same one I had seen yesterday, when the rumors had exploded like wildfire. “Sometimes sacrifices are necessary,” his stepbrother continued, eyes flicking toward Ian briefly before returning to me. “People get hurt along the way. That’s life. But not all hurt is malicious. Ian knows this. He… he just struggles with boundaries. And when he feels trapped, he lashes out.” The words landed like a blow. I realized then that Ian’s stepbrother wasn’t just controlling; he was a shield and a cage, all at once. Ian had been caught between his brother’s world and his own, and I had been dragged unknowingly into the crossfire.

The man looming over me, turning to Tamar still growing in the ground, sneered. “You’ve grown weaker, brother.” Brother? Tamar froze for a split second, his arrogance flickering into raw hatred. His jaw clenched, lips curling into something feral. “Caius,” he spat like venom, shoving at my shoulder to break free. “I should’ve killed you years ago.”

Alexander's POV I stood motionless in the doorway, staring at the man in front of me. Tobias Asplundh. Alive. "And you are?" I finally said, feigning ignorance, my tone was casual, but I knew damn well who he was. He smiled, an amused, knowing smile that showed he wasn't fooled, clearing his throat, he spoke again. "I'm Tobias Asplundh" he said evenly "Thalia's brother. Which makes me your brother-in-law, I suppose" His tone was light, but there was something behind it, something sharp. Ah, yes. The dead man comes back to life.

I instructed my home robot. “You expect us to calm down?” Cassia hissed. “How could you do that to Tosha? You, taking the side of that murderer over him? After everything he did for us?” Her voice broke at the end, and instantly, my bones tensed at the memory of what my oldest brother endured for us till he died. “I remember very well what Tosha had to suffer because of us, Cassia……it is not something you must remind me about,” I said calmly into the phone, even as my blood boiled.

I squint at the other male not recognizing him. “Who is this?” I tap at him with my index finger. “That is Luca, heir to New Jersey, Geno, one Gianna's brothers, your friend, is beside him here but he wasn't captured” His voice is low as he points at a tattoed arm visibly handing over Luca’s shoulder, at second glance you can see that owner of the arm wasn’t captured. I nod, having heard of them a number of times, but they haven’t come around yet. Hopefully someday. It'd be nice to see her overprotective troublesome brothers. When he moves again, the tip of his nose touches my shoulder as though he is breathing me in.

He chuckled wryly after a moment, then whispered to Wilbur, "He's the richest billionaire in Toneville. We can't afford to mess with him. Hurry up and apologize. We'll leave right after that." "Why should I apologize? So what if he's a billionaire? Do you think I'm scared of him?" asked Wilbur nonchalantly. Ted anxiously said, "Sir, you might not know this. I'm relieved he's overcome his insecurity. "I'm sorry I didn't recognize your pack." My big brother extended his hand to Tayron, and they shook hands.
