"Trent, my grandma..." Grammy grins at Trent and winks. "Call me Grammy boy..." then she pauses. "How is a young man like you my baby's boss?" Trent is looking down at her since Grammy is short. "Because I'm rich." Grammy laughs and I don't find that funny. I shuffle for keys in my bag and open the door. "Thanks for the drive," I tell Trent. Caleb rasped, his voice still shredded from their primal hug. Trent swaggered up, towel flung over his shoulders, and crushed a protein bar. "Everyone keep their hands off MY piece of that net," he warned with a mouthful. "After four years of grinding, I've got dibs on the fattest strand." Caleb smirked and gave him a little push. "Better hurry up and call dibs before Harris snags it all for himself."

She fixed the glasses she had slid down her nose to assess the boy who looked to be in his late teenage years back to her face.

I couldnt believe that for a minute. Id heard Trent complain about him a few times now that Id thought about it. Hed come to Myrtle Beach looking for property, a resort to grow his familys business. 48 Trent stood abruptly, shock softening his usually stern features. He walked toward Avi as if in a dream. “Avin?” His voice cracked. Avi smiled gently. “She did all this to have Bella, not to hurt her.” “She killed six people, or her warriors did, I wouldn’t put anything past her,” TJ says. “At least Mom gets to see Trent again,” I joke. “Bet Dad is loving that,” TJ laughs. “Trent better not try and claim Mom, it won’t end well.” “Did you ever miss him?” I ask my brother. “I never knew him. Trent acquired the land during the famine.” “Speak plainly.” I insisted. “Trent forcefully collected the land seeing as Oakland is a smaller pack with even a bedridden Alpha.” “Really?” “If this exists then why did Trent starve like he did? Trent told the young man in the back to greet Lyon. His act of kindness was to pave the way for his grandson. Trent was old. Yet, he was out and about to earn favors for the sake of his grandson. Reading Trent’s mind, Lyon praised patiently, “You have a fine grandson. He’s around Mr. Glitter’s age. I’m sure they will be best friends.” Though overjoyed, Trent said humbly, “Mr. Glitter is blue blood. Pete wouldn’t dream about being friends with Mr. Glitter.
