**Nadia** It was a Tuesday. That was the first thing I noticed. Not a significant Tuesday. Not an anniversary or a birthday or any of the dates that had accumulated meaning over the course of the last year. Just a regular Tuesday morning with the particular quality of regular Tuesday mornings, coffee brewing, gray light coming through the kitchen window, Dominic at the counter reading something on his phone and me at the table with my feet up on the chair across from me because my ankles had developed opinions about gravity that I was not in a position to argue with.

Monday, the universally loathed day, shifted to Tuesday for me, all due to a single deal I couldn't back out of. Also, that knowledge came with the painful realization that I would be missing Taco Tuesdays- a family tradition where mum and I prepared Italian delicacies while gossiping about her colleagues in the office- Brenda Shannon- mum's boss, being the highlight of my Tuesdays. It broke my heart knowing it would come to a stop for a while. And it pissed me off.

Neither cancelled the other. Grief and love and accountability all existing simultaneously in the same space without resolution. I was learning to live in that without needing the resolution. At four in the afternoon Morrison called. I was sitting in the sun with Colt when the phone buzzed. I looked at it. Looked at Colt. "Answer it," he said simply. "Today can hold both." I answered. "I am not going to keep you long," Morrison said immediately. "I know what day it is. Congratulations." A pause. "But I wanted you to know before you heard it through other channels."
