The alpha’s forgotten mate

The alpha’s forgotten mate

“Then we resist. Together. Always together.” The twins moved closer, instincts flaring. Flame snapped outward, heat bending the void around them; frost spiraled in intricate patterns, delicate yet resilient. Their combined energy began to form a lattice again, weaving fire, ice, and the core of their bonds with Kael and Lyra into a pulsating, radiant network.

Marked From Birth

Marked From Birth

Audrey commanded. Thousands of small, glowing pods were ejected from the Aethel-Seed. These weren't weapons, but "Cultural-Hard-Drives." Each one contained a fragment of the Union's "Sea of Glass" and a seedling of the Bronze-Leaf Oak. As they hit the surface of the dying planet, they didn't just land; they "Infected" the crust. They turned the de-materializing energy into a "Growth-Catalyst," using the Curators' own power to rebuild the world's atmosphere in a chaotic, violet-tinged image of Novus.

Twisted Fate

Twisted Fate

“So does this make us official?” Alf asked, his voice soft as his thumb traced idle patterns over the back of my hand. I smiled at him, the warmth in his gaze drawing one of my own. “Yes, it does,” I said quietly. The corner of his mouth curved up, a small, genuine smile that made something inside me settle. He leaned in, and our lips met in a kiss that was gentle, patient, almost questioning. I let myself melt into it, allowing the comfort of his presence to wash over me. It was different from the chaos I had been living with, and for once, different felt good.

Twisted Deception

Twisted Deception

And most importantly, what did they want with us? "I hope you can swim," the one at my back whose dark mask had red stitching on one cheek said. "Are we going for a swim?" My blonde friend asked. The other one chuckled, "Something like that." With a grimace, red stitching bent and pushed open a hole in the ground covered by a metal lid. The smell that wafted up was rancid. I covered my nose and my eyes watered. "What's in there?" Trish asked in a small, unsure voice.

Twisted Fate

Twisted Fate

She was probably a werewolf already, and if she wasn’t she’d be one soon. Everyone stuck around until it was very dark out. We lived so far out that light pollution wasn’t a factor when looking up at the stars. It was clear enough out that it felt like we could see every star in the sky. “I’m going to grab water. Want one?” I nodded a response to Nikki. She rolled over and got off the ground. I could hear every one sitting around a fire as it popped and sizzled. Nikki and I forewent the group gathering and laid on the beach with our towels as we looked at the stars. It was something that we’ve just always done together. We’d even make our own constellations and named them.

Twisted Fate

She sprinted into the woods, her bare feet bleeding, her clothes torn. Branches whipped her face, rain blinded her, but she didn’t stop. She couldn't. Freedom was just ahead. She could feel it. Taste it. --- But Mason was faster. He tackled her from behind, slamming her into the ground. Claire screamed, thrashing wildly. Mason’s hand closed around her throat, squeezing. "You stupid little—" he hissed. Claire clawed at his arm, desperate. Black spots danced in her vision. She couldn’t breathe.

The Unprepared Luna

The Unprepared Luna

Their hair color ranges from light brown to dark chocolate brown, like Emerson’s. We watch as the sprites weave their magic, somehow getting the flowers into all of the twins’ hair without upsetting anyone. Actually, it’s the opposite, the twins seem happy to watch the sprites as the flit around them. I smile as I watch them periodically lean in and kiss my twins’ cheeks.

I have truly enjoyed this novella. I have also enjoyed the entire Guardian series. From the 3 originals, the prequel of that set the stage for the start of it all, to the continuation of all the children born. These stories have so many trials for them to overcome. Best series!

I absolutely enjoy ALL of Cooper's books from each series. Cooper has a socials page that informs the reader of other areas where he has written other series that are AMAZING as well. I suggest reading all Cooper has written, you won't be disappointed. This book was great, the ML/FL are perfect for

Shifter Deathbound Curse

Shifter Deathbound Curse

They didn't turn around, but Siron heard a whisper: “We are waiting...” He woke up with a strange feeling: one of hope. From the window, he saw the full moon. And under the moonlight, on his windowsill, grew a TINY TWO-BRANCHED SPROUT, ONE GLOWING BLUE, ONE PINK. The sprout swayed gently, though there was no wind. And from inside the apartment, on the wall across from Siron’s bed, HIS OWN SHADOW MOVED INDEPENDENTLY, stood up, and reached out as if to touch the sprout. But that shadow had EYES THAT GLOWED SILVER.
