The characters in the book—Heathcliff and Catherine—were both so damaged, so trapped by their own emotions and pasts, it almost mirrored my own situation. The way their love was twisted by pain and obsession, how they couldn’t escape the ghosts of their past, it hit too close to home.

Of course, I would think of her. She was the biggest mystery I have in my life right now aside from Sea. I wanted to get to know her better. Was I too self centered that I wasn’t able to know more about my lover?
