She didn't want that to happen again.
She brought one hand to her other arm and clenched her fist tightly, not caring about wrinkling the fine fabric of her long-sleeved shirt.
"He can't hire you... if he does... it will all start again..." she thought nervously, unable to look at the man in front of her.
"I'll ask for you to be my secretary," she looked horrified.
"Don't even think that I'd work with someone like you!" she said firmly.
"I'm going to be the director of the editorial department, and I need a secretary. And who's better than you? You and I have something pending for five years."
