Be Mine, Doctor!

Be Mine, Doctor!

Nick Luton Lancaster, a CEO with unlimited wealth, where the world is subject to decisions on his hands. Emotions weren't part of his life—until one name began to disturb him: Luna. A young doctor with a straightforward, innocent, and sometimes careless. She doesn't live in a glittering world and let alone power plays. Her encounter with Nick stems from a professional relationship as a doctor and a patient—a relationship that should end once the diagnosis is complete. Pretend deal, a relationship that's supposed to be just a formality, was the beginning of emotional mess that Nick never imagined. In the midst of the Lancaster family's grand mansion, Luna is dragged into a world foreign to her—where one bracelet is worth more than a person's life, where the decision to marry is thrown out as cold as signing a business contract. Nick is convinced: all women are same. Money, power, and status are the keys to everything. He believes Luna will give up, sooner or later. But he realized Luna is different. She rejects Nick's proposal without glare by a wealth she can't even imagine. Their relationship is filled with tension, sharp dialogue, unexpected hilarious moments, and a closeness that grows without a plan. The usually cold and stiff Nick finds himself touching a woman unknowingly, protecting her, even apologizing, something he hasn't done to anyone before. On the other hand, Luna begins to see the other side of Nick: a tough man who is used to being alone and swears because he doesn't know how to express his feelings. When Nick again utters a line he never pulls back, "Marry me", Luna is faced with a life-changing choice. Stick to his principles, or step into the world of a man who rules everything, except for one thing: her own heart.

She rejects him, only to go home finding his mark on her neck, leaving her in shock, about to beg her father on her knees when he says the last thing she expected of him. As it turns out, her father holds very strong principles on the mate bond. To him, it's the most precious, sacred bond to a wolf and one must not break it. So, he breaks his longest-time rivalry with Alpha Kaden for sake of his daughter, and arranges an alliance between the packs through marriage. Eloise is relieved of her father's decisions and gives the bond a chance. All seems to be going well, when on one fateful day, she announces her pregnancy to her father first out of excitement. But before she got to tell Kaden, pictures of her naked with another man flooded the news, bringing shame to her family and most of all, breaking her father's trust. The marriage is called off, and he announces her unfit to rule the pack and she never will. What breaks Eloise's heart even more is that her father starts beating her. Kaden refuses to see her or answer her calls. Desperate, she seeks Dex who helps her escape her father undetected, chasing that sliver of hope for new beginnings.

Love the story, writing was intense and keeps the storyline moving. I just would have like to have seen the family reunion. Overall amazing writing but be ready for some intense scenes that can trigger some of you. Happy reading!

Needs a little editing, but still really interesting. The author has a way of storytelling that helps you fully immerse yourself in the story. The FMC is the typical weak to strong, but the story has tons of potential. I hope the writer doesn't intend to rely on clichés/tropes.

Clean Panties, Dirty Soul

Clean Panties, Dirty Soul

An alarm wakes everyone up at 1:00 am. It turns out that a few college students have gone missing during their exploration in Wolffang Valley. My heart goes tense at the news. After all, my stepdaughter, Nancy Campton, had told me yesterday that she'd be exploring that place! Since Nancy has asthma, I specifically prepare medication that's meant to treat asthma in my medical kit just in case anything happens. After carrying my backpack, I begin urging my husband, Jack Campton, who's also the leader of the rescue team, to set off right away. But he keeps stopping me in my tracks. "What's the rush? Let's wait for Dakota to finish doing her makeup." Half an hour later, Dakota Sweeney, who has a face full of makeup and is wearing a pink rescue jacket, begins complaining in a high-pitched voice. "Why did you keep rushing me? Thanks to you, my eyeliner came out all crooked!" On the way to the valley, Dakota actually pulls out a pair of pink lace panties. After unscrewing the cap of a bottle of life-saving water, she starts washing it with said water. I can't endure her stupid antics anymore. "Have you gone nuts? This bottle of water could potentially save someone's life!" But Dakota replies in a matter-of-fact tone, "I'm a woman with principles! I must wash my underwear that I've changed out of on the same day!" Jack shoves me away at that moment. He then snatches the bottled water from me before passing it to Dakota. "Willow Armstrong, you're the crazy one here! Is it wrong for Dakota to take care of her hygiene?" As I stare at Jack, a cold smile slowly spreads across my face. It's not wrong for Dakota to take care of her hygiene. I just wonder if Jack is capable of facing the consequences behind Dakota's tendency to drag things out.
