They’re calling for volunteer warriors.” My fork clattered onto my tray. My head snapped up, heart instantly leaping in my chest. “What?!” I asked, spinning around to the girl who had just spoken. She blinked at me, unimpressed. “Volunteers. For the Silver Pack visit. You have to sign up through Frakas.” Without another word, I grabbed my tray and walked out, not caring about the food, not caring that every eye in the room was suddenly on me.

The creature stepped forward, its colossal claws digging into the sand, and a deep, resonant voice echoed through the arena—more felt than heard. “You have awakened forces beyond your control. This path leads only to ruin.” I stepped forward, raising my hands as energy surged, responding not with fear but with defiance. “Then let ruin come,” I replied. “Because from ruin, we will build a new world.” Ryu growled low beside me, shifting fully into his hybrid form, fur bristling with power and eyes blazing with battle fury. He lunged at the creature with ferocity born from years of pain and betrayal, each striking a desperate attempt to shatter the ancient force that sought to crush us.

“Both of you, focus.” Uncle Eren’s shoulders squared, his hellblade glowing red in his hands. “Stay close. We fight together.” The Marids advanced, slow at first, then lunging like shadows unleashed.
