Unmasked Mrs Met Novels & Stories

" Really?" " Yes! Just call me Jasmin, that's my code name but if you want to see our faces you can't. Each of my colleagues here has a code name too. And our chief was Sapphire. So far you haven't seen her here. She is on vacation now. We wear a mask or face mask because that is the only barrier to covering our personalities. Oh, are you now happy because I already answered your questions?" He laughed again. "Really?" He said in a sarcastic tone. "Very superficial reason. Let me out of here. I'm getting bored here."

Someone he didn’t know. The mask came away. For a fraction of a second, Elias saw nothing. His brain refused to cooperate refused to align memory with reality. The image in front of him floated, disconnected, like a photograph placed in the wrong album. Then understanding slammed into him with brutal force. It felt physical. Like being struck in the chest. “No,” Elias breathed. The word tore out of him before he could stop it, thin and broken, barely audible. His knees weakened, and he had to grip the back of the chair to remain standing.

She told him as she headed towards their room. "And I we would be getting rid of this mask as well." Edward blurted out and Andrea paused in her steps. "What do you mean exactly?" She didn't believe what her husband had just said. Wasn't he hiding his face from the world? Hasn't he always worn a mask? Why does he want to suddenly pull it off? Is it because of me? Won't be be in danger or something? Andrea put off changing out of her office clothes and went back to the kitchen.
