He hadn't turned it on. He'd been sitting in the dark for hours, the photograph of Chloe clutched in his hand, when the sound of a familiar voice pulled him back to the present. He looked up at the screen, and his blood turned to ice.
Vanessa was on every major network.
She sat on a cream-colored sofa in a studio that had been designed to look warm and inviting. Her dress was soft pink, her hair perfectly styled, her makeup subtle but deliberate. She looked like the girl next door. The victim. The wronged woman standing by her man.
