"She carries a Luna’s scent, but she looks… ordinary. I even dropped a veil on her to test her reaction but she didn’t notice. She’s not powerful, but her scent… I can’t explain it."

Silas drew a line between them. It passed beneath—We all stopped. The Luna Survival Games arena. My stomach dropped. Sebastian looked at me. “The laboratories could be beneath the Games themselves.” Xela went very still. I stared at the map. At the arena where women fought, bled, were injured, and were eliminated. "Luk, this is Dimas, Martina, Fauzi and Eli." The class greets me kindly, but they don't seem very excited. Okay, I'm lying, only that Dimas guy who doesn't seem excited about me, because everyone smiles and greets me in an animated manner. Before Claude could finish Ursula interrupted saying, "Nope, I'm not going anywhere...plus imagine what we'd get for gutting this sucker!" Claude felt a new level of admiration for Ursula...but also began to question her sanity. The two readied themselves for battle—Ursula bringing up her twin axes and crouching down low with her thick and powerful legs tensed like coiled springs. Claude tossed his shield realizing it would do nothing in this fight and brought his chipped and worn shortsword up holding it confidently in one hand as if it were the sword Excalibur itself.

Rogues existed for a purpose. They had been dispatched by someone. I couldn't get the question out of my head, were they sent for her or for me? I had adversaries, and I wouldn't be shocked if they had pursued me. However, the Luna, the most recent acquisition, might have given her the same power to automatically turn people into friends or enemies. Being descended from royalty came with a curse. I gripped the slippery blade in my fingers and gritted my teeth. Another body lunged too close, and its keen edge swiftly went down through it.

I didn’t recognize any of them, until the last one stepped out from the shadows. Lily. Her blond hair was tied back neatly. Her white coat is still spotless. Her smile… cruel. “Oh Zara,” she said sweetly. “I told Darren to exile you, but I had a feeling that wouldn’t be enough.” I spat blood on the ground near her feet. “You followed me?” “Of course.” She knelt down in front of me, her eyes cold. “You were always a threat. A thorn in my perfect little future.”

Alpha Alex fumes, Hera roles her eyes at him totally ignoring his raging posture. "If you can free yourself as you say than why haven't you escaped yet?" I ask curiously, something inside me said that she wasn't lying. "Pfft.. Luna Celeste my security is one of the best among all packs, I don't think you believe her words do you? She can't even breathe if I don't permit it" Alpha Alex puffs out his chest, assured of his security. Hera glares at Alpha Alex, her lips than pull up to an evil smirk. She looks around the room and than stops her gaze at me.

The girl name Madeline remarks looking not too happy. "I know that but there is something you don't know about her." Arthur kind of snaps which doesn't go unnoticed by anyone but I think no one wants to make their Alpha mad and that's everyone keep their mouth shut. "I know you all have already met her and know her as the Luna Queen or the daughter of James and Jasmine. But she also has another title which will be official soon. I would like to introduce you all to my destined mate and the Luna of this pack, Erica Thomson." He declares while everyone cheers happily making me smile seeing the excitement on their faces.

Our lives are in danger, and maybe, just maybe, that will make him do something miraculous. ‘You got to do something!’ I cry. ‘We are dying!’ Liam’s face twists with pain - he knows I’m right, and suddenly, without warning, one of the ghouls attacks us. It bites Liam’s wings while another screeches and goes for my tail, digging it’s nail into it.
