Novelas y relatos de Veronica Hamel Blue Bloods

She let her eyes linger on him just a fraction longer before heading toward her room. But she didn’t sleep that night. Not with the words shares and board playing over and over in her head. The next morning, Veronica found Bianca in the dining room, lazily scrolling through her phone with a coffee cup in hand. “You’re up early,” Bianca muttered, glancing at her mother. Veronica poured herself tea. “I couldn’t sleep. I overheard something last night… something interesting.” Bianca arched her brow. “Do tell.” “It’s Jack,” Veronica said, lowering her voice. “He’s not who your stepsister has made him out to be. He’s not just some… ordinary man living off her.”

“A little, but it’s not that bad. Most of us can go a month without any if we absolutely have to.” It’s now that I notice the woman sitting next to him, her raven hair so dark it almost shimmers blue in the light above the table. She notices my gaze. “I’m Veronica,” she says. “Emma,” I introduce myself. “And this is my mate, Alpha Devon.” She nods politely to each of us. “I came back with Kinsington, hoping to help.” “We appreciate that,” I tell her. There are a couple more vampires at the table that I don’t remember seeing before, so they must want to help too.

*** Once I got to the room, I laid her down on the bed and first changed her outfit, which was already looking so unpleasant. Gently, I removed Veronica's torn and blood-stained dress, replacing it with a soft, comfortable gown from the wardrobe. As I cleaned the dried blood off her skin, I couldn't help but feel a deep sense of responsibility and guilt for leaving her in harm's way during the battle with the vampire king. I promised myself that from now on, I would protect her at all costs.

"But you'd know all about that, wouldn't you?" My blood turned to ice. "What are you talking about?" "Silas told me all about your little playdate with the Blood Moon boys when you were young, how they ambushed you in the woods. How Bella led you right to them." Her smile cut like a knife. "Some friend." "You're lying!" But even as I said it, doubt crept in, insidious and cold. The note. The setup. Silas's warning. Could it be true? "Poor little Stella. Always so blind to what's right in front of her." Veronica twirled the scalpel between her fingers. "But that's what I liked about you. So desperate for love, you'd swallow any poison just to feel wanted."

Veronica, the real one, was shaking in pure anger as she listened to what the dark witch was saying. She can’t bear to imagine that Liam had sex with this ugly fart. She just stole her identity, her very own beautiful face and body just so she could go to Bresmont and replace her. “Do you want to hear the details, my dear foolish Veronica?” The dark witch’s voice was lace with mockery. Her face was telling her how stupid she was to trust someone like her.

The air that was already cold became colder and colder, a bad-tempered vampire like a child, even though he had taken special anti-cold medicine, involuntarily shivered: "Mr...." Julie glided over the ice, her eyes that were once pure blue were now red, emitting an eerie light in the night: "Have you met my brother? Your body is filled with his scent, tell me....where is he?". Brawen froze , not knowing how to respond properly.

Much to his surprise the woman started walked slowly down the hallway towards him and the rest of his group. Her features became clear the closer that she got. Arden was not as surprised to find that it was the same woman that had first came to Aurora at his bar. And also, her appearance in the woods. Arden had known on that day that she was up to no good and he had been right. "Well, I do not remember inviting a bunch of mutts into my home," Veronica said. She looked over the group of men and her eyes landed on Lila last. "I see that your hybrid blood runs deep. No loyalties. Same as the late Whispering Shadows Coven," Veronica said. Ice covered her words.

Veronica said, "I really need that favor, though. But I'm in no rush. So, how about I give you the name of your parents' killer right now. And right after you apprehend him and confirmed it for yourself, I collect my payment?" Tristan stopped, considering his options. He did not trust the demon one bit. He would much rather find Stefano and asked him about it instead. But he couldn't pass out the opportunity either. "Let me hear what you want from me, first," he said. "Well..." Veronica responded, "I just need some of your blood." "What? What for?" Tristan said, disgusted. "For a spell," Veronica answered, "Hecate's in dire need of a hybrid's blood and she's bothering everyone about it."

Her head guard, Damien said as he looked down in shame. “It’s not your fault. I should have moved sooner. It’s on me.” “Baby, it is not your fault. None of this is your fault.” Veronica smiles and nods. “Alright so who do we have here?” “Just Oscar.” Vicente says with a smile motioning for the door. Veronica smiles and claps her hands together. “Ready for some fun my love?” “Always. After you.” “Want to see why they call her the blood queen?” Luis asks Vicente, Trish, and the guards.

Only a single candle flickering inside a crystal hurricane lamp, two glasses of vintage Pinot Noir, and the quiet, low hum of the rain pressing against the arched leaded-glass windows. Across from me sat Veronica. She was wearing a dark midnight-blue silk dress that draped elegantly over her shoulders, completely concealing the faint shadow of her healing injury. Her silver-rimmed spectacles sat delicately on the bridge of her nose, reflecting the soft candlelight as she scanned an encrypted dossier resting beside her wine glass. Her dark hair was swept up into a sleek chignon, exposing the long, slender line of her neck. She looked entirely lethal. She looked devastatingly beautiful.
