Aurora vaguely watched the passing car lights as she drove her rental car back towards her hometown. The town was where she had grown up as a child. She never saw a reason to leave it. That was until that dreaded night five years prior. Aurora, or Rory as her friends like to call her, hated to dwell on the past. No good came of it. Arden loved the playfulness of Aurora throwing the pillow at him. He caught it easily of course. His reflexes were wolf-like. Something stirred inside of him. The mate pull was beckoning him to move in closer. Arden set his wine glass down on the small coffee table to the side of the couch. Aurora must have sensed the change in atmosphere.
