We are in this together.” Emily said her eyes were brimming with tears.

“Emma, you’re making a huge mistake! Don’t you see that they’re using you? They don’t care about you or your daughter. They’re just manipulating you to get what they want!” Emma’s hand trembled as she raised it to slap me, but she hesitated, the conflict clear in her eyes. “Shut up, Emily! You don’t know anything!” “He killed your father! He killed mine too! Why would you team up with him?! Are you dumb?!” I yelled angrily. I turned my gaze to Victor, trying to reach the part of him that had once been my friend. “Victor, please. You don’t have to do this. Think about what you’re doing. Think about my children.”

"Just you and me," Victor said, "I can take you with my bare hands." Victor toyed with him a few minutes, giving him a black eye and a bloodied nose.

Victoria replied and then whispered, "From my trash." Victoria quickly released their embrace to see Emberly's reaction. The woman still showed a haughty smile, even though she had blatantly insulted her. Instead, she looked as if she was happy for her and was heard wishing her sincerely, "I wish you both happiness." Emberly was already pleased and proud of her achievement in winning Alden. This woman also seems to see her decision to marry Maverick as an outlet. "Of course I'll be happy," Victoria replied while giving Alden a sarcastic line, "Even happier."
