Everything. When the recording ended, the silence in the virtual room was deafening. My father spoke first, his voice cold with authority: “Viktor Kuznetsov betrayed the Bratva. He betrayed the Voss blood. He betrayed all of us. From this moment on, he is declared an enemy of the organization. Anyone who helps, shelters, or contacts him will be treated the same.” One by one, the councilors began to react. Some looked shocked. Others visibly relieved. Viktor had enemies inside the council itself — men he had humiliated or harmed over the years.

He’d also been very impressed with Ivan as of late. “Ivan? What the hell is going on,” Viktor bellowed. “I tapped Ivan during the trial, he was completely invaluable to me in that time. His contacts have been priceless and his dedication to the family has been paramount in the last few months. I have welcomed him with open arms. My father firmly believed the line of succession must always be clear, and I have no doubt that as a Reznikov, Ivan will not only hold our family first, but he will always be honorable and faithful,” I said, firmly.

He was tall around 6’2 and his brunette hair and hairstyle reminded me someone who unwontedly barged in my life. Maybe it’s him….. My curiosity got best out of me and I found myself walking to the man. I with hushed steps walked closer to him. The man was looking at the grave and was unaware of my approaching hushed footsteps. As I was 3 steps away from him he suddenly turned with speed of tornado and a cold metal touched my forehead. My eyes widened. It was him….James Russo….but my eyes didn’t widened on him seeing here but on what was in his hand that he was pointing on my forehead.

His mind raced, sorting through possibilities, trying to solve the puzzle pieces. “Who was it?” Connel asked, trying to keep his voice neutral. “A man named Viktor Novak. He's known for running arms deals through Eastern Europe. I've got footage of their conversation. From what we can hear, it sounds like she's trying to get in deeper with him by securing a deal that would benefit her and him.” Connel's mind snapped into focus. Viktor Novak was dangerous, the kind of man who didn't care about allegiance but profit. And Tori was making moves that put them all at risk.

Viktor remained silent, but his jaw tightened. “Case two,” Lorenzo continued, changing the slide. “2022. Luna Svetlana of the Romanian Carpathian Pack. She publicly criticized Viktor's business methods at a Council meeting. Three months later, she was found dead—supposedly in a car accident. However, our re-autopsy showed she had been poisoned with wolfsbane prior to the accident.” Images of the accident appeared—the car completely destroyed. Then autopsy photos with medical details that made some wolves look away.

And that was not something that I had to end, that is, of course, if we were to keep our reign up. “We are going to have to control them, Cosimo. They keep growing stronger, and if this proceeds, then they won’t only target Italy.” Mikhail, one of my Russian partners stated. Though human, the man was stronger than his kind. It was his recessive gene that took over in his case. He couldn’t shift despite being the son of two wolves. A shame for his bloodline. “As if you need to tell me what I already know.” I stated bluntly. The man shook his head at me, and I raised an eyebrow. “You doubt my word.”

I said, calling the man, watching as he froze, looking at me over his shoulder as he did. “I, Valerie Morozov, accept your rejection, Alpha Alessandro D’Almerita.”

“Just keep me posted if there is anything that I need to know, and I still want you to keep an eye on the Francesco case. I don’t know where Killian is considering that he left Los Angeles long before we did, but he won’t be too far. If anything, right now, the man is back for revenge.” “Yes, boss, I will do so.” Viktor said, and Alvize nodded at the man through the mirror before both hung up. He turned his attention to me and I raised an amused eyebrow, waiting for an explanation on what he planned. However, he simply turned the stereo on. Music played in the background, but I could tell that he was making sure to keep the tone low enough for the two of us to have a conversation. It was som

Ivan said, pulling out a piece of metal which he’s been burning in coal for the past twenty minutes “I think it’s hot enough right now. I’ll need to test it out though” Viktor tried escaping the restraints, he flailed and trashed; but we all knew that he wouldn’t be able to. The questions that he wanted to ‘answer’ were ones that I already found the answers to. If I was being considerate at first by asking him, wanting to give him the chance to end this smoothly; it was because I was being merciful.
