The Villain's Hero

The Villain's Hero

“I’m not a hero.” “I’m the villain remember,” he reminded me with a grin. “All good villains know how to identify heroes.” He turned his attention to the vine, and the plant pulled back, the vines withering, the flowers and leaves falling, until there was nothing but the faintest shadow on the stone to indicate that it had ever existed at all.

Project: Villainess

Kian hissed in anger and tried to intimidate the once meek lady but surprisingly, she remained unfazed. "Too early for you to decide, noh? If not me, then who?" "...." "Johann, the crown prince? he's a psychopath just like his mother. The son of Duke Pariata? He's a jerk who's only fond of chasing ladies. Son of Duke Winston, we all know how much of a greed he is, right?" "..." "I know it won't be easy to earn your trust but I'll tell you this..." "....."

Mommy, Is The President Our Daddy? The Ex-Wife’s Revenge

“I loved her and this is how she treats me. I gave her everything. I gave her my life, my soul, my time, my money, my future and my past. “I was there when she needed someone to be for her. She was alone, Rowan, I was there by her side. I watched her children grow and I helped her business grow. I did everything I could for her. “I bought a company for her when she wanted her family out of there. I ran her family out of business. I ran her friends out of business. I did all of this for her and when it came to destroying the life of her ex husband she folded and suddenly I’m the villain. “What kind of stupid world do we live in where I am the villain and she is the hero or the victim. The Wife He Forgot: Ashes to Empire

The Wife He Forgot: Ashes to Empire

"But Jaxon was deceived too. He raised a child that wasn't his. He was lied to. Just like I was." "Are you seriously feeling sorry for him?" "Not sorry. Just... complicated. He's been a victim too." "He was the villain first! He destroyed you!" "I know. But people can be both. Villain and victim. Perpetrator and casualty." Mia was quiet. "You're softening on him." "I'm not softening. I'm just seeing the full picture now." "The full picture where he still destroyed you? Where he still threw you away pregnant? Where he still married your sister?"

The moon goddess chose wrong: twice

The moon goddess chose wrong: twice

“That’s harder to judge than a clean villain would have been.” “I know,” I said. “Dexter was the same,” she said. “Jessica too, in her own way. Even Anthony.” She looked at me. “Why does it keep being this complicated?” “Because people usually are,” I said. “The clean villains exist in stories. In the world, most of the damage gets done by people who started somewhere reasonable and made one compromise and then another until the compromises had a profile they never intended and could no longer see how to escape.”

Marked and forsaken

Marked and forsaken

My mother’s cruel reign still breathes here, still stings even beyond her rule. Then another question cuts through me. “And the father of the child within you?” My spirit rebels. No. I will not speak it. For a heartbeat, I almost believe my mother alone is the villain. But looking around—the men and women together, united by exile, their eyes filled with old scars—I see it clearly. Varyn is a villain in their story too.

THE GOODBYE HE MISSED

THE GOODBYE HE MISSED

"You have some experience with that, Olivia. I would think you might recognize it." The room was quiet. Outside, somewhere in the neighborhood, a dog was barking at something. "I've known you for five years," Victor said. "I have watched you carefully for five years, because my grandson was not watching carefully enough and someone needed to." He set his water glass down. "You are not a villain. I want to be clear about that because I think you may have come here half expecting me to say otherwise. You are a frightened woman who found a mechanism that worked and used it long past the point where it was defensible. That is a very human thing to do. It does not make you evil. It makes you some

great start..concise with nuances. hope it would end the same way. not tooo many chapters that the main characters became watered down with so many side stories. i'm reading along slowly... so that i don't have to wait for updates. keep up the good work, dear author!

I'm only on chapter 5 of this story and I'm so invested. It's well written and I love how the female lead, Sophia, is depicted. I hope things work out for her and the children, away from the man who doesn't recognize the value in the family he's neglected.

Superstar chef mommy of villain and villainess

Superstar chef mommy of villain and villainess

Jiang Ning felt her heart go cold, watching Si Yi Yan expose such a ' villainous face' . In the novel Si Yi Yan became the villain not only because he fell in love with the female lead but his father ; Si Ye Han also played an important role in this. Sometimes , Jiang Ning felt that Si Yi Yan didn't truly loved The female lead , maybe it was more of his rebellious side. It might be possible that he did all of that to get the attention of his father or maybe he just wanted to irk Si Ye Han.

One In A Million

One In A Million

"Dr. Jhero wants us all to become part of his world domination thing, and although we don't want to become part of it, we don't have a choice but to agree, or else our families— their families will be either become zombies or be dead." Of course, all of the villains in stories use feelings and emotions as their greatest weapon against the protagonist, and when that happens, protagonists don't have a choice but to be controlled by the hands of the villain. The same goes in real life, when the bad person uses your feelings as a weapon against you, you don't have a choice but to bend down and give in.

Stolen Identity: Villainess' Awakening

Stolen Identity: Villainess' Awakening

I observe him squinting and shaking his head. “The imperial family is a symbol of the empire’s power but then, those people are like the shadows of the imperial family. They support us but have their own agenda as well. They will do anything to protect us, the werewolves of this empire because they want nothing from us other than experimentation..." I am beginning to comprehend what is occurring in this empire, but where do I begin my vengeance? If those individuals eventually prevent me from murdering this individual, why this werewolf? For a moment I felt a sudden paralysis. I become rigid and unable to move, but my hands remain on Casimir's cheeks. I observe him sigh, but he continues, "T
