Alpha Theo

Alpha Theo

I’ve totally got her on the hook now- the ol’ Theo charm works every time. “I listened to some Green Day. I liked one of their songs…” I trail off, pinching the bridge of my nose between my thumb and my forefinger, squeezing my eyes shut and searching my mind for the title. “Something like, I walk alone?” “Boulevard of Broken Dreams?” I snap my fingers. “That’s the one.” Brooke tilts her head to the side a little, leaning back in her chair and folding her arms across her chest. She stares at me like she’s evaluating me, fitting puzzle pieces together.

All books from this author are great! Enough drama to keep you hooked, but in the same time enough reason & maturity and natural character growth and good conflict resolution steps without stupid and unnecessary immature dramatics…I really love the books from this author!!!

Walking Away with Grace

Walking Away with Grace

The icy water soaked through my clothes, sending violent shivers through my body, but it was nothing compared to the freezing of my heart. I stared at the scattered, ruined drafts on the floor, each torn piece representing a dream I had once cherished. In that endless, agonizing darkness, a part of Vivienne died. The love, the hope, and the pain were all being drained out of me, leaving behind only a hollow, unfeeling shell. It wasn’t until midnight that they finally left. I stumbled to my feet and began picking up the shattered drafts. Then, I slipped out quietly. I thought I had long since gone numb to the pain, yet my heart still ached so profoundly…Before dawn, while the sky was still da

When the Scapegoat Walks Away

When the Scapegoat Walks Away

But today, I was unnaturally quiet, like someone who had lost his soul. She raised her eyebrows and snorted coldly. "Seven years and he still hasn't learned his lesson. You girls must've gone easy on him before this. I'm watching him myself this time." Jenny's car followed behind me as I limped forward step by step. We passed through the busy streets and turned into an alley. Suddenly, the car behind me stopped. Seeing the sweat pouring down my face, Jenny scoffed. "Stay right there and wait. Jackson suddenly wanted some street tacos. We'll keep going after we're done eating."

Back on My Feet

Back on My Feet

But looking at her back, I suddenly lost my nerve. After hesitating for a long time, I could only silently say, "Goodbye, Anna." I looked at her reluctantly, then rolled my wheelchair toward the exit. Just as I opened the door, Anna's anxious voice rang out behind me. "Zephyr, were you going to leave without a word?" She pulled me back. The bag in my hand tore open, and the leftovers spilled across the floor, giving off a greasy smell. I suddenly felt very uncomfortable about all of this.

You Gave Me Away

You Gave Me Away

On the day of the wedding, I wore a fitting suit and stood before the priest, waiting for my bride. Tina wore a white wedding gown and walked toward me slowly on her father's arm, a happy smile on her face. She was as beautiful as an angel who had decided to grace Earth. At that moment, I felt like the luckiest man in the world. Just as the priest solemnly asked whether I would take Tina as my wife and spend my life with her, the heavy church doors were shoved open from outside.

The Stand-In Walks Away

The Stand-In Walks Away

In her wedding dress, she stepped protectively in front of her first love, Kyle Walter. "Chris, I'll give you whatever compensation you deserve for what I owe you. But I won't let you hurt Kyle." All eyes were on me. But instead of losing my temper as they expected, I just calmly waved my hand. "Forget it." With that, I put down the bouquet, turned around, and left without a second's pause. They didn't know that I was a traveler from another world. Getting close to Emily was just a mission the system assigned me so I could eventually go home.

Walking Out Made My Life Perfect

Walking Out Made My Life Perfect

Even the venue he planned to host his grand dinner party in a few days belonged to me. Now, I would take all of them back. After being away for so long, I could barely remember the green sweep of meadows or how brightly I once shone. Elliot and I never registered our marriage or held a wedding. Now that I was leaving, there wasn't even a need for a public announcement to mark my departure. Still, I wondered how Elliot would react when the developers showed up to reclaim those lands in a few days. When night fell, I left the Sheppard residence forever with nothing but a small suitcase.

Goodbye And Good Riddance

Goodbye And Good Riddance

With all her wicked deeds, she sure did make up for them real fast. Henry was lucky. The cradle, which the wall cleaning workers left static on the 28th floor, saved him. Even so, he was barely alive and directly went into a vegetative state. I watched as his soul lingered next to his body, trying to enter his body but was unable to. It wasn't until I appeared before him that he realized that his soul seemingly couldn't return to his body. "Isabella, is it you? Are you here to fetch me?"

I Walked Away After Seven Letdowns

I Walked Away After Seven Letdowns

She giggled, pounding her fists playfully against his chest. "Bad influence? This whole plan was your idea, babe. I only went along with it to make you laugh." Then, they kissed. Right there in the hallway, like no one else existed. I felt hollow. I felt like my soul had cracked open and drained out onto the carpet. I didn't speak, didn't lose it. Instead, I just turned and walked out the front doors with Riley. The night air was cool, but it cut through me like glass. Each gust of wind felt like it was slicing straight through my chest.

GONE ASTRAY

GONE ASTRAY

“A few call-center people, drunk people, just-came-from-a-wake people… the usual.” “Hey, I know you can see and hear me!” the stray beside her interrupted. He was talking and screaming and whining non-stop, and Akira’s head began to ache. Of the short shift she worked in this 7-Eleven, it sure felt like a thousand days with this tireless, lost soul. Shut up, shut up, shut up! “’Just-came-from-a-wake people?’” Nate asked and pondered for a second before realizing what Akira meant. “Oh… pagpag.”
