The dragon of Xander warns. "I told you that you would piss him off. You can't play your stupid games with everyone" I scream at him pissed that he has us in a situation. I roll my eyes at him swearing that I will get him back if Xander lays a finger on me. Xander's eyes flicker and I know his dragon is talking to his human. When they are done with their conversation my dragon finally breaks the tense silence.

I'm made of sharp edges and vengeance, and I will not crumble. "Eleven years. You should be more informed," I snap. It's a foolish mistake to irritate a Warrior, but I'm tired of being undermined and treated as a disposable toy. He clenches his fists. He's the perfect impersonation of danger, and for the first time, I wonder who exactly I'm dealing with here. "Careful," the word barely escapes his gritted teeth. "We're done here. I will only answer to your Alpha," my voice comes out cold and detached.

Valeria’s POV Everything came back to me in a roar—the smell of sweat and blood, the howls of injured Shifters, the screech of metal against itself, or metal against stone. I looked around me frantically. The majority of our warriors were on the ground, clutching their heads, suffering under the werecat’s vision spell. They were nearly helpless. Screams and groans filled the air. An unfamiliar cry came from the woods across from us, and I spun around to see dozens of werecats running towards me at top speed, clearly coming to attack.

I hear Joyce yells after me. I ignore her and continue running, then I hear her footsteps behind me. * * Writer's pov Crescent pup's home...! Chaos everywhere! Rogues and pack warriors fighting, all in wolf forms... biting on each other mercilessly. The warriors are outnumbered, which makes it difficult for them to win against the rogues. "Bloody hell, we are almost too late!" Micah exclaims. Xander growls as he sees his warriors getting killed.. dying by the hands of the rogues.

I was dumbfounded, and I didn't understand why the Warriors didn't support each other against Rogues but slaughter each other. Elias clenched his fist. "Because they want to compete for the top spot. As I said, this is no longer a contest; it's more like a real war, and only the winner is the last one standing. Moreover, in the process of fighting with Rogues, warriors will kill them and steal the silver fangs that are worn around their necks. By the end of the third day, whoever is alive and has the most gamblers becomes the winner. So the warriors would hide in the forest to save their strength, usually until the last day they showed up and slaughtered each other."

She had no idea what mind-set Bruce was in and she had no desire to wrestle with a rogue lycanthrope if she could avoid it. Bruce surged out of the root cellar and inspected his rescuers. He recognized me and roared his greeting. I sighed with relief. Garth, on the other hand received an entirely different response. “Are you guys ready to finally do as we were formed to do?” My eyes glared at Callighan as he lifted his head up to the sky. Once that loud howl came from him, we all prepared ourselves as the wolves charged at us altogether. All we could do was fight to our hearts desire.
