Nia asked. “No,” Ava said. “But he’s blind.” The word hit the room like thunder. Blind. Nia gasped. “What? How?” “That’s the fun part,” Ava said grimly. “Nobody knows. Or everybody thinks they know.” Ava told the story like she had no clue about what happened to the Alpha. For a moment, I felt weird. She turned the phone toward us. Screens filled with posts and comments, theories stacked on theories. “He lost his golden eye.”

“Give us an example.” “Well, you know that saying ‘In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king’?” Aki and Sasha nodded. “Well, it’s something like that but it’s more like: In a land of darkness, the blind man is king. When the Tenrai no Kasai meteor fell and started the Age of Darkness, a few Slayer masters were said to have gone crazy and decided to… uh, blind themselves.” Sasha gulped though his throat was dry. “You mean, so they could heighten their other senses?”

The sound of the ripping parchment is loud in the silent hall. Julian flinches again. I fold the pieces together and tear them again. I keep going until the document is nothing but a handful of white scraps. I open my fingers. The white pieces flutter down to the marble floor. They land on Marcella’s damp skirt. They land on Julian’s polished shoes. “Three years ago, I was blind,” I say to him. “I thought love was a duty. I thought if I bled enough for your people, you would finally see me as a human being.”

“You’re right.” I didn’t wait for a response. I turned and walked away, my footsteps echoing in the too-quiet hallway. Oh my goodness. The thought was a desperate, silent scream. He was blind. Beautifully, tragically blind. And his blindness was a weapon he didn’t know he was handing to our potential executioner.

All of a sudden I felt dizzy and collapsed on the floor, it was like the sight of her made my eyes blurry all of a sudden… Sasuke who was patiently listening to Kazuma was now having a puzzled expression, he turned and looked sideways and it felt like someone was listening to the story all along. when he saw there was no one he shook his head in disbelief thinking maybe he was just thinking too much while listening to the story. Kazuma who was spouting profoundly slow not missing any detail of the story gazed at the expression Sasuke was having but could only sigh and continued…. "mom I'm cold"

She started smearing my name, taking everything I had. My parents sided with her completely. I gave up everything. Everything except the one person I loved — Damien Blackwood. Damien was heir to the Alpha King title of the entire Southern Territory. But when I first found him, he'd lost everything. An ambush had left him blind, stripped of all wolf senses, unable to even hear. His own family had abandoned him in a remote cabin, written him off as useless. I stumbled across him during a hunt. After that, I snuck out every day to take care of him.

"My body might be weak, Lucian. I might not be able to shift yet. But my mind belongs to me. My soul hates you. Every single drop of blood in my veins despises what you are." I pushed against his chest with all the strength my trembling arms could muster. "If you want your sight back, you are going to have to drag me to the altar kicking and screaming. You are going to have to force every single piece of this bond because I will never give it to you willingly.” The pain in my abdomen twisted, but I forced it down, letting anger take its place. “You earned your blindness, Lucian. You deserve the dark. And if it's up to me, you will stay blind until the day you rot.”

I unsheath it, gripping the hilt firmly. Rocco threw a blind at me. I snatched it from the air and wound it over my eyes. "Fix it well, if it falls during the fight it's game over," Rocco said. My eyes blinked hard behind the blind. This wasn't going to be easy, I had never done this before. But then something happened. My wolf eyes became active and I could see. The sight wasn't clear but I could say that it was averagely good. But I couldn't see when I was blindfolded on our way to the secret gathering. Well, I did not attempt to see through the blind… or was it because of the darkness? I will try to find out.

Even though he was blind his other senses were ten times stronger. He also hadn’t been born blind he had lost his sight when he had turned twelve. The process wasn't painful but he remembered training with his father and the world around him had started to turn blurry and then just blackness. Vincent had struggled with depression but his father wouldn't allow him to disappear. His father had just pushed him harder to train and become a good Alpha and he was ruthless in battle and never allowed this obstacle of sight to make him weak. He protected his pack and would make sure he protected his mate as well. Vincent wondered if she would reject him because he would never be able to fully claim

While they ate, Diana couldn't help but stare at the blind prince who was sitting opposite her. "Why hasn't he said anything about the killer?" She murmured unknown to her that Damon was hearing everything she said. Diana was taken aback by the prince's sudden gaze. His silver eyes were piercing and seemed to look right through her. She felt as if he could see her soul, and it made her feel exposed and vulnerable. She quickly looked away, feeling embarrassed by the intensity of his gaze.
