Her cunt quivered at the thought of it. As she drove home, she wondered who all would be invited to the game and if Holly would remain behind to watch her humiliation or vacate the premises. Valerie assumed Nick and Alan would be there, but she wasn’t sure how many of the others Damien would invite. She worried about Miles and Keith being there and having to see them around campus afterward, them knowing what she became and how far she had fallen into Damien’s twisted world. And then she wondered what all they would make her do. Or, worse yet, do to her. She could feel her panties becoming soaked as she pulled up into the parking lot of her apartment complex.

I confessed. "Remember when I told you I caught Mike, my ex, and Janey having sex? I wanted to pay them back, so I hooked up with a man in that same club, and it turned out the man was the Lycan Prince, who coincidentally became our VC the next day. I run my finger down the water glass, wiping away a few more beads of condensation. “Nothing good,” Naomi says quickly. “But we’re not here to talk about that. I was a little distracted trying not to be eaten by zombies the last time we met.” “That’s Eliza. She’s Lucas’s vampire daughter or whatever you’d consider her.”

He was staring at the floor, where faint new symbols had appeared, carved by the light itself. Malachai knelt beside them. His voice, when he spoke, was barely a whisper. “The First Blood remembers. The daughter completes what the mother began.” He lifted his gaze to me. “They’ll come for you tonight.” I swallowed hard. “Then we’ll be ready.” But even as I said it, I saw the look in Vale’s eyes — a shadow of fear he didn’t bother hiding. Because for the first time, even he didn’t know what I was becoming.

CHAPTER FIFTEEN: TW: Violence/Torture/Gore. Saphielle's POV: ‘Where am I?’ ‘What is this place?’ ‘I think I'm dreaming.’ I glanced around the dark void and then stared at myself, noting I still had my pink nightgown on. “Hello!” I yelled, but my voice got lost in the darkness. What is going on? What kind of dream is this? “Hey! Anyone there?!” Silence.

Micah said something that made her smile and the golden light around them flares brighter with her joy. She has no idea what is coming. Three Alphas. Three packs. All descending on Iron Valley because rumors have spread about a human girl who glows gold and can disable serum wolves with her bare hands. The war just got infinitely more complicated. "Get Caleb and Theo," I say. "War council in twenty minutes. And someone find Neah. She needs to know that we are about to have very dangerous company." Jax leaves. I stand alone in the war room staring at three vehicles approaching on the security feed.

I pressed on. Alex shrugged. "I'm from the Nightshade Pack." His nonchalant attitude grated on me, but I kept my cool. As soon as he mentioned Nightshade, realization dawned on me. This was Rohan's beta. Ugh, Rohan. The name alone made my blood boil. Not because of the pack, but because of Valerie. We'd both fought for her love, and neither of us won. She'd settled with Diavolo, disappearing to a place none of us knew.

“Not yet, my love. Get us to my old bedroom in Elysium. I want our first bonding night to be on the bed where we shared our firsts of everything.” A low groan escaped Vale’s lips, a mixture of desire and frustration as he nodded, his eyes darkening with possessiveness. He needed Talon, and he needed him now. With a swift motion, Vale shifted, transforming into his magnificent white wolf, fur glistening under the dim light. Talon climbed onto his back, wrapping his arms around Vale’s strong neck, holding on tightly as the world around them faded into a blur.
