I stammered nervously, “I was looking for my room because I wanted to get my phone. I didn’t mean to disturb your conversation.” My gaze flicked briefly toward the left corner, where I’d seen the other man vanish. The familiarity of his voice still lingered in my mind, but now there was no trace of him. It was as if he had disappeared into thin air. “It seems you’re enjoying the party,” Mr. Alexavier said, his tone still neutral. I forced a smile, desperate to mask my unease. “I’ve never attended an event like this before, but yes, I’m enjoying it.”

The coloured lights hit my face and the faces of everyone else in the room doing anything and everything. Suddenly, the man disappeared. I didn’t see him any more. I looked around but he was nowhere to be found. My heart fell immediately. He was a stranger yet he made me feel some kind of way that I am past explaining to myself or anyone. I could have at least said thank you to him. Seeing that I could no longer find him, I gave up and let my mind set back on my real reason for coming here. I need to find Don Dada.

I smiled a lot and he instantly changed my mood. That was a happy memory of mine. At the end of the dance, he leaned closer and kissed my cheek. I must say that I forgot Alder in that moment. I wanted to chase that guy. I got distracted for a moment and he disappeared from the crowd. I tried searching for him. Like a magic, he vanished from that place and I couldn’t find him nowhere. I haven’t met that man after that. I’ve no idea that masked man and the guy who spoke to me when I was sick were the same people. I doubted sometimes but then I thought the guy who talked to me must be Alder.

I have never liked clubbing the promiscuity of the whole thing but somehow I always end up in one, like the night I met Zeke. Zeke! What the hell! I could almost swear the man across the room from me is Zeke! " Have thought of the man too much I am hallucinatng?" I face palmed, rubbing my eyes just to check again if he was really there. He was! That was really Zeke, the heavens were answering my silent prayer! He really was, Zeke, in the flesh,sitting alone with a drink in his hand observing everyone else. He had not seen me yet.

But nothing came out. I decided to continue while he was still buffering. “I can occasionally manifest outside our body. The Elijah you met before wasn’t fully physical. Which is why I disappeared out of nowhere back then.” His eyes widened. “And… I first met you personally, on campus, when you bumped into me.” I smiled, remembering the feeling of touching him that day. “I… I remember. You were the creepy guy staring at me.” “…” That wasn’t exactly the first impression I expected him to keep.

I didn’t even know how to explain what I’d seen, how a man had vanished in front of me like it was nothing. So I just said, “I ran into someone.” Orion frowned. “Define ‘someone.’” I looked at the fire instead of him. “He knew my name.” That got his full attention. “What?” His tone dropped, the playfulness gone now. “Yeah,” I said quietly. “He said it like he’d been waiting for me. Then he…” I stopped myself, realizing how insane it would sound. “....he disappeared. Right in front of me like he was the wind.”

Long story short, she dipped her business card in my pocket and told me to call her if her attention is needed. That got and left me stupefied because what's that?? Who said I'd need her contribution or attention?? Why would I want to meet up with an absent-minded and clumsy person?? I stood there shocked until my phone rang to jolt me out of my reverie. It was the man I was supposed to meet. I ignored it and entered the car while the driver followed suit. We got to the place three minutes later "My apologies, Mr Martins. I had a little problem on my way " I apologised as I shaked the estate manager

If there were demons, ghosts, and some supernatural things in this world, there might be some things that could take someone's memories away. These people in black were definitely not normal. They might be more abnormal than Jia who could see ghosts since young. What if this blonde man takes away my memory of this night? Then I would be back to the time when I have been living with a hole in my heart and soul. I looked at the handsome man in front of me. "...When and where can I meet you?" The man lowered his eyes. On Sunday I spent the day walking around Chicago. I was passing by a restaurant when suddenly he was standing there, the woman beside him. I walked past them. He no longer existed to me. The next week I spent holed up in my apartment. I didn't bother getting a phone. I didn't have anyone to call. Friday I was doing some cleaning to clear my mind when my doorbell rang. When I opened it, a woman was standing there with two men. Her face was familiar, but I couldn't place it.
