Dae instantly wanted to watch the movie. Two and a half hours later, as they walked out of the theatre, Dae felt extremely hungry, even though he had literally swallowed one and a half bucket of popcorn and a packet of potato chips and a bottle of 7 up, involuntarily while watching the movie. He whined tugging on Aroon's shirt sleeves whilst rubbing on his stomach. Aroon was also feeling really hungry as they ate breakfast very early in the morning. They managed to find a good restaurant very soon, because literally the street was full of shops and restaurants.

I brushed away the tears that had managed to flow down my cheek and I grabbed the pen from the desk and signed my life away on the contract. He grabbed the paper away smoothly from the desk and glanced at it and then smiled back at me. "Welcome to the knight Ryder's Mafia darling."

I don't want any of us from District G to be eliminated. As our glass cylinder opens, all tributes started to run towards the Patag center to get some bags... for protection. The other end picked up and I said I need a donor now. My office was only a few blocks away and it took all my willpower to make it there and not suck the life out of some random person on the street. When I made it to my office my donor was waiting for me and I didn’t hesitate and took her in my arms and sunk my teeth right into her flesh, trying to stop the hunger that was taking over inside of me. I drank until I felt the body in my arms losing conscience and knew I had to stop or I was going to kill her but the hunger inside of me wasn’t even remotely satisfied. I pulled away and laid the body onto the floor and made another call for another and a cleanup crew.

Two can play this game. I balled my fists, swallowed my frustration, and pushed open the door to the motel’s dingy lobby. The stale air hit me first—cigarette smoke mixed with old carpet and something faintly metallic. Behind the counter, a woman barely looked up from her phone. Her name tag was scratched and faded, her uniform wrinkled and a little too tight. “Welcome to…” She waved a hand vaguely in the air, not bothering to finish her greeting. “What do you want?” Her voice was flat, disinterested.

"Beastkind are dying. No frills. No drama. Just fact. No daughters born since the plague’s last winter. Fewer sons. Old lines cut off. Dens are empty." Varrow’s thought is rougher. "Courts rot. Deals rot. Pride and fear make bad choices." Rime’s whiskers twitch. "The Great Games buy time. The Walled City calls it tribute. It is a leash. It keeps war quiet. But hunger grows. Despair grows." He pauses. "Some will not wait. Some will attack the walls and take women." There it is. Cold and simple. My hands go still on the tiger’s fur. “Take,” I say. It tastes like ash.

Faces blurred together on the dance floor with no one looking too closely. I liked it like this, no one recognizing me in different clothes and a different posture. This was another version of me. The wig I had on itched badly as the colored contacts caused my eyes to water. But my disguise was necessary. I could not risk anyone recognizing me, Vittorio Leone's disappointment of a son, in a place such as this. I didn't want to be the useless son here, just another stranger looking for a drink. Maybe a hard fuck too. I made my way to the counter where my order for a drink was answered quickly.

When she mentioned chicken and The Hunger Games, I kinda figured she hadn’t actually watched it because that’s what I thought when I first heard of it. “Then why is it called The Hunger Games if it’s not about food?” I shrugged in response. I wasn’t crazy about movies, so I didn’t really know. After a moment of silence, she said, “Humans are odd.” “I agree. How come you haven’t watched it yet though?” I asked curiously. She got a wicked glint in her eyes and pointed to her stomach. “One word, girl, honeymoon. This baby didn’t just make itself. That would have been cool though, but I’m pretty sure I’m not a virgin.” She joked while I made a face at her.
