Several werewolves protectors and hunters encircled us ready to attack. The blood-eyed werewolf howled and I saw them scattered about like dead leaves by the powerful sound that came from his mouth. My face grimaced in pain at the sound, it was too strong for my ears. My ears felt like they were bleeding. My hand pressed hard against both ears trying to block out the dangerous and deafening sound. "You both will not leave this wall alive," Bazaar and more of his guards aimed their weapons shooting wolfbanes arrows at us.

Another wolf growled at them and tried to prevent them from coming to Steven. "Stop. Please stop. Why is this happening?" I hope this is just a dream. "Stop! I said stop!" I screamed at them loudly. I am using my force to make my voice louder. All of them stopped. Some of them whimpered loudly and walked backward. My hands were shaking. A wolf suddenly approached me, transforming into the people I know. "Steven... how... what... was happening?"

And he hasn’t heard any news about those merciless killings, colonization of other packs, and those unreasonable tortures all over the city.

You'll understand this more as you read the book! In addition, I only use the term 'werewolf' in this story but they are not the traditional lore that is 'cursed' or a 'beast'. They are more of shifters, like of lycans who can control their transformations from humans to wolves or vice versa. To put it simply, they are like the 'wolves' of Twilight with special gifts so I call them werewolves in this book. Thank you and enjoy reading!
