CHAPTER 17 – AFTER… LONDON "Cut off his fingers, all of them. I want it slow and painful." I stand in the underground, state-of-the-art, bomb resistant facilities of The Blue Diamond. Designed as a safe house/ torture chamber, it is one of my most favorite places. Right now, I watch as my men skin Liam Jordan alive, the fucking guard who had the audacity to hit Blue eyes. I shut my eyes, letting his high pitched, pain filled screams feed the dark demon that took possession of my body the moment I woke up cold and alone in that hotel room.

He bangs more throwing the don't open and I get thrown to the floor as the figure stand in the open doorway. “Welcome to the House of shadows, you will not leave here.”

But the looming golden eyes that he fixed on me had me unsteady, despite being seated. His next words were slow and careful as he watched me react. “Mistra may be at a loss as to why I came out this way, but I can assure you she has told me enough about her own son to know that whatever happened to him also happened to me.” My body shivered, my flesh crawling with every word of his unwelcome suggestion, willing my body not to give away anything. “I also know Mistra well enough to know she really has no idea what happened to me,” Sirius went on smoothly, admiring his nails as if he just had them polished, breaking his stare as if suddenly disinterested.

As she turns to the other side still observing it she notices a writing on it. 'Look through the windows, I'm always here'. Grace looks around shocked, She however walks to her window, She is shocked to see a black car on her posh while Mr Black walks towards her apartment. Grace drops the letter, immediately running out of her room towards the door in time for her to hear the door bell ringing.

"Now, how can I help you?" "Do not accept anything from Sirius Black," he said, his tone suddenly serious. I turned around, my curiosity piqued. "I'm very curious, so please, explain what you mean by that." He ran a hand through his hair, shifting his weight from one foot to the other, clearly agitated. "Just don’t accept any of his favors. The guy is a complete cunt." "Because you lost to him?" I retorted, crossing my arms. "What a brilliant explanation for him being a cunt."

It's like she is trying to mess with my head, her long, beautiful legs are clean shaven and a slight tone of olive. Every inch of her is a work of art, a true masterpiece. "Shall we continue Ms Scott" I give her a small smile, trying to relieve the tension and the awkwardness seeping through her fake smile. "Please come in Ms Scott, I don't have much time" I'm afraid if she stays any longer, I won't be able to restrain myself any further than I already am. What has come over me? I am the sole owner to the Black Empire and the richest man in the whole of New York City and yet I am going weak kneed at the sight of a girl.

I fake a yawn, but it turns real halfway through, and my eyes water again. He shakes his head like I am a problem he does not want to deal with. Yeah, he definitely hates me. I must have done something terrible to him in another life. That is the only explanation that makes sense right now. Sully parks right in front of the entrance. The engine quiets, and the space around us feels too still for a moment. So this is where the Alpha lives. Blackwood Castle. He does not look like someone who owns a place like this. Then again, neither did Damian. Looks do not seem to matter much with people like them.

Something in my voice made him listen. Black Manor was exactly what I expected. The kind of place designed to make people feel small the moment they stepped inside. White marble floors, polished steel railings, art that cost more than most men’s lives. Victor liked to pretend he was untouchable. I moved through the house like I owned it. Servants froze when they saw me. One tried to speak but I ignored him and kicked open the doors to the private lounge at the back of the estate. Victor Black didn’t even flinch.

Lucien’s gaze drifted to the glass wall of his office, the city behind it glittering like a promise he’d already paid for. He waited. The reply came quickly. “Blackwood Tower.” Lucien didn’t blink. “Which floor?” he asked. “The executive floors,” security said. “She’s entering now.” A slow breath left Lucien’s nose. Blackwood Tower at midnight. There was no wedding planner there. No tea shop. No reason for Iris to be in that building at this hour unless she was meeting someone who belonged there. Someone with access. Someone who knew how to keep secrets. Lucien’s mind offered the name before he could refuse it.

Their weapons were trained on us, their faces cold and unyielding. Sirius stood under the harsh light, his gaze drifting upward to the night sky. For a long, unnerving moment, he seemed lost in thought, his expression unreadable. Then, his eyes snapped back to me, and a wide, charismatic grin spread across his face. "It's been a while since I was here!" he exclaimed, his voice booming through the ruined room. "Feels too good to be home!"
