The air thrummed with it, as though I stood before a mountain that could move.
“I am Obryn. Spirit of Judgment. Keeper of the Scales.”
The weight of his voice made my knees weak. Jasmine pressed against me firmly, grounding me.
“I… I am here,” I said softly, though my words shook.
“All who climb must face judgment. But your worthiness is not for me to decide. The scales weigh truth, and the truth must be spoken by one you wronged.”
I swallowed hard. My palms were damp, trembling. “Someone I wronged?”
