A few months went by, and I was already walking, talking clearly, and even recognizing letters. The whole family thought I was a prodigy. I plan to erase you from the surface of the earth,” I announced, raising the gun without a hint of emotion left in me. “And what do you think you are doing?” My father’s voice stopped me, his voice irritating me than I let on. I didn’t drop the gun, clasping the gun tighter. “Get out of the way,” I warned, giving him a cold stare. He was one stubborn man. He was in no position to take a bullet for anyone when he was still struggling to get on his feet.

“You have one chance, Elena. Come home. Bring our son. We can still fix this. We can still be a family.” I looked him dead in the eyes and delivered the line I had practiced with Kane: “I don’t want your family anymore. I want your empire.” The words hung in the air like a death sentence. For the first time, real fear flashed across their faces. They finally understood. I wasn’t confused. I wasn’t lost. I wasn’t coming back. I was the enemy now.

I asked, my voice trembling with barely restrained rage. My voice stopped him mid-step, and he turned. “Yes, I did.” I half-smiled. “Good!” His brows furrowed, the smugness on his face vanishing in the blink of an eye. “I have been holding back from getting back at you all this time. I kept thinking that I might still be alive today because your parents saved me… but with this revelation, I have no reason to hold back anymore. I am cutting off all ties with you and your family. You are no longer just strangers to me. You are my enemies, and I will make sure to take you down one after the other.”
