Chapter: 17. ********* It was a beautiful afternoon in Aqaurial, Tide had just gotten out of class, the kids today seem to be in good spirits as none threw meaningless questions as usual. Today is going to be a busy day as his mother had made him promise, he would visit Atana's resting ground then Diondra as well as Neptune to confess his wrong doings before the King hears from another, his punishment would be too severe if that should happen.

I gathered all my stuff and took a deep breath before getting out of the car. We walked into the field at the same time. When we were at the entrance we just wrote our name and course in the registration area. Someone guided us to a space where there were three large tents for the performers tonight; the Music Club, Theater Club and the Dance Troupe. When the usher took us to the tent, Mace was the only one separated from us since she belongs at the Music Club. The Theater Club is set between the Dance Troupe and Music Club tent. There is also a designated color representing each club.

"When will you realize how crazy you've made me?" My lips parted. "W-What?" What the? is he serious? He stood up and walked to the mirror, looking at himself through the reflection. "I am going to keep it long then." He looked at me with a smirk. "If that's what you prefer." _ "Happy Birthday to you..." I winced as I listened to Luxious sing in front of me. This is definitely humiliating! "Happy Birthday, my dear Tiarra!" he greeted me, holding the strawberry cake that he had their private chef bake here at the mansion.

Chase's voice came again until she heard the loud and slow sounds of his footsteps as if he had all the time in the world to reach her. Sophia ran towards the door and tried to open it but it wasn't opening it. She looked around frantically for another hiding place until she spotted the tree in front of the house and hid behind it. "Gattina, where are you? “Chase’s voice reached her ears as she heard his footsteps. It wasn't only from the hearing device. She could hear his footsteps coming closer to the tree and she pressed herself tightly against the tree as if to disappear into it. "You aren't making the game any interesting now", Chase said, standing behind the tree from the other side.

He just hoped he didn’t run into any of the wolves that were in pursuit of himself—and Everly—before he turned the corner. “Jack! Where are you?” A few voices hit him at the same time, but Chase’s voice stood out. He answered everyone, but he was glad to hear his best friend’s voice in his head, even though it was a long way away. “I’m straying from the trail,” he said. “These wolves are getting too close to me, and I don’t want to lead them straight to her.” “Don’t do that!” Chase told him. “You’re going to run right into them!”

Minda’s voice was filled with fear. Anna took a deep breath. “Love, if ghosts were real, then Amethyst would have haunted us too, right? We’d be in prison by now. Minda, listen to me. Calm yourself down. It’s just your imagination, okay? We will take this secret to our graves, and no one will ever find out.” “Mama.” Anna’s breath hitched. She spun around at the sound of Chase’s voice. He stood a few feet away, staring straight at her. Rain had drenched him completely, yet he didn’t seem to feel the cold.

"Put your children to bed, folks. Blood will be spilled on the canvas." "There's a story there," Chase probes, tugging the blanket from my feet to his. "It's a long one." And there's no way I'm going into details. The cameras pan to the empty ring and Don's intro song blasts. It's scary and rough, sending spiders crawling over the surface of my skin. "You know what song that is?" Chase asks, sitting up straighter.

MGK’s gritty, melancholic voice comes out crisply through the speakers, the low hum of Chase’s joining in to sing along to the lyrics. Goosebumps raise on my forearms as I listen to the words of the opening verse, darting a glance over at Chase. His head lolls to the side against the headrest, his eyes locking with mine as he pointedly sings along to the lyric: “in my head, I’m calling you ‘girlfriend’, what the fuck?”

Chase sat in the car blasting some indie rock music. Beside him sat Katrina’s cousin Romano, who sang aloud to the loud music blasting from the speakers. Chase knew the song; it was some old college group that he had been interested in and would have hummed along for the sake of old times if his mind wasn't occupied by someone else.
