Darius laughed, soft, chilling.
“The tear?” He reached into his tunic, pulled out a small crystal vial. Inside: a single frozen tear, silver, shimmering. “I took it from your mother’s crypt the night Jorah failed. Preserved. Waiting.”
Kael growled, low, lethal.
“You defiled her grave.”
“I borrowed what was needed,” Darius answered calmly. “The fang you carry. The tear I hold. And the blood…” His eyes locked on Elara. “Yours. Willingly given. Or taken.”
